We're old friends from jr.high/high school and recconected after 5 years of not talking. I was at a x-mas party on friday and I was kind of drunk and having a really good time. A couple of us wanted to go dancing and shoot pool afterwards and wanted more peope to join us. So I phoned my friend about 11:30-12am and I accidently dialed her home phone (she lives with her parents) She seemed really annoyed and pissed that I was drunk and that I called her house phone. I offered to call her on her cell and she said no. She hasn't answered my calls or returned my e-mail even though I explained what my intentions were when I called her...I wasn't just drunk dialing. She's always had a stick up her *** and now I see it more then ever. If she was in bed early because of something in the morning, how was I supposed to know. I just wanted her to come out and have a good time.

Somethng weried is happening to me these days...can anyone explain?

i started college three months ago, i meet this guy. i liked him, he seemed to like me too. i strted developing a crush on him. i strted to get closer to him but i noticed that he became slightly mean and tried to avoid me. it took some time but i got over it. sometime later he strted to be nice then extra nice to me. my friends told me that he likes me.. but at that time my crush was over. we r spending more time togetehr these days, i strted to restore my previous feelings for him again but he strted to be "Away again"
wat is wrong with us. when i like him he doesnt seem to like me back and when he likes me i dont liek him back.....
wat the hellis happening to me? wat can u call this thing?

Can you tell me why my car wouldn't start this morning?

This morning my car wouldn't start. I turned the ignition and nothing happened. The starter didn't turn over...nothing. All of the lights worked. I tried a few more times and then it started.

Could this be a problem with my starter, a failing battery, ignition or something else?

I assumed that a starter just all of a sudden went out without any signs.

This car is a '98 with 103k miles.

Anyone familiar with waiter/tress tip law in California?

My son just started working in a family type restaurant in Orange County, CA. He tells me that they are keeping part of his pay at the end of the day. As he explains it, if he makes $200 worth of business in his designated area each night, and he makes $40 in tips, the Restaurant keeps about 20%? I have not heard of this law and perhaps he is not clear as to why. I've asked him to talk to his manager and have them explain this to him. I have been a waiter when I was younger and then in my profesional career I have been in management so I thought I was thoroughly knowledgable about labor laws. This one threw me for a loop, I am familiar with tip laws but not having an employer withhold additional tip money from their employers. Any ideas outhere?

I can't understand this calc question?

Find the y-intercept of the normal to the parabola y=x^2 at the point (a,a^2), where a =/= 0. Find the limit of this y-intercept as a -> 0. For each b > 0 determine the number of normals that can be drawn from the point (0,b) to the parabola y = x^2; justify your answer.

I got my daughters father arrested 4 breaking my livingroom window.?

After he broke the window with his hands he entered the apartment to see if a guy was in the house.No one was in the apartment he just likes to be in control of things and he has a girlfriend already. Now he is in jail and his bail is $10,000. Now he is scared because he is locked up and I cant drop the charges. Am I wrong 4 getting my daughter father arrested.

The mayor's office has dis-allowed advertisement of a movie about the 'nativity' at a German 'Christmas-Fest'(based on the Nativity) because the city doesn't want to 'offend' non-Christians. The billboard or placard type advertisement has audio as well.

Street Robbers do it for kicks?

Yahoo homepage has a story about street crime today Excerpt below:

"It includes chilling interviews with 120 offenders - a third of whom had been arrested more than 50 times - and found that street culture can be a far more important factor in such crimes than financial gain. "

Now my question is - Why on EARTH are people who have been arrested more than 50 times still walking the street!!!!?? Surely they should be banged up the first time they are caught, third time they should be give life 10th time WTF!!! What was the judge thinking when he let them out after they had been arrested 49 times! Of course they are going to go and commit another offense.

Surely the report should be - street robbers do it because they never get punished.

Anyone else think this is disgraceful.

And to think I still have nightmares about the can of coke I stole when i was 15,

I think I might go out mugging tonight - seems like easy money!

the words on my laptop look smaller than usual?

I don't know how this happened...but I have noticed that the words on my laptop look smaller...and when I view certain sites I caan barely make out the words...does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you...also my desktop icons aren't in the right places...they got scrambled around and it is annoying because I had them set a certain way...

What is an easy online course to take that would fit my learning style?

I have a weird learning style: I'm a visual/ nonverbal learner so that's why it is better for me to take online courses. I'm more of a student who likes to read, learn on my own, and take tests. Are there any classes like this online? I'm so terrible and I get nervous in classes when there are a lot of face-to-face discussions and listening instructions in a classroom. And I do a lot better in classes where I could speak in written language. Please help.
