I find it difficult to believe that Athiests believe that you don't go anywhere. How is it possible to just say "Well, there's no god." I mean we die for a reason. Yes? And if we just die for no reason, then why do we breathe? Why do we learn? Why do we experience the things we call life?
Maybe some believe in the Athiestic view because of the fear of death itself. If death takes you OFF this earth, where does it TAKE YOU? You have to go somewhere.

The UK government are thinking of changing the sentencing for murder.
They want to bring in First Degree and,Second Degree Murder.
Is this a good thing or,is this another way of Americanising this country,after all,surely Murder is just that.

I'm 52, he's 57 kids are grown we've been seeing each other for over 2 years . he moved into his own apartment almost one year ago. Today , he's going to divorce court at 8:30 am . He seemed so stressed out last night. Married for 38 years but has been totally unhappy for around 10 years and told me he's in love with me for the first time and has never known such bliss.Says he's NEVER been with another woman besides me and his wife if you know what I mean and as shy as he is, I totally believe him.
Question is: Its 10:00 am and I haven't heard from him. Should I be concerned? Please don't answer unless you've been there also. Serious inquiries only. Don't throw rocks please.

My soon to be ex husband was telling people that he moved out because I was a bad mother. When I told him, "OK, fine, you can have the kids and I will see them on every other weekend" he says that he didn't mean that. He is now angry with me because I have told the same people that the real reason that he moved was to be with another woman, who he invited to his birthday party (of course I didn't attend and neither did the kids). He is now angry because I exposed his deeds and he has lostythe respect of some of his friends. I say, can't pay, don't play. He apparently had no respect for me when he invited his "woman" to party that included mutual friends. He says that no one would have known that she was other than a friend if I hadn't said something. Am I missing something here?

I don't know any horse breed living in west-africa (Mali) , neither do I see any saddles etc.. from Dogon or a modern Dogon horseman ?!

It is a biography of sorts, about the women who came in to his life with purpose and each gave to him something unique that enabled his career or helped him some way that has remained with him throughout his life. I found a lump in the side of my neck,maybe an half inch size a bit above my collarbone. I also had a cold that I caught from my kids with swollen glands. This is when I noticed this enlarged lump. Two weeks ago, I was having vertigo dizziness problems for a couple of weeks but that went away. I also found cyst like spots on my cervix. But my pap smear came back fine. Going to check that out friday. I went to my regular doctor today for lump in neck. He felt it, said it was mobile. It was a tiny bit tender. He said we will watch it for a couple of weeks to see if it goes down. He also did blood work to check for lymphoma. Should he have given me antibiotics? He did not. I will be checking out the cervix issue Friday. I am really scared. Mother of two kids, I am 36....I am just wondering if he should have done more or given me antibiotics??? Help!

I've got those electric baseboard heaters all around the basement but I also have a monitor, which I prefer to use. I don't want to use the electric heaters, and there's an outlet I need to use that's on the same circuit. I thought I could disconnect the thermostat and that would disable them - would that work?

The clutch has been replaced 20,000 mi. ago.When cold it works, but when warm it has great resistance to the pedal and fails to release completely. Both master and slave cylinder have been replaced, pedal linkage is lubed. When warm it takes a lot of pedal pressure to push the clutch to the floor, almost like something is binding and the clutch doesn't release completely. HELP!
