I was talking to one of my girlfriends yeasterday and she told me that she had this really bad itching and smell down there for like a week, and she went into the bathroom and she pulled a old tampon out.........Thats just nasty, is she lying to me or is this really possible?!?!?!?!?!

It is possible, but how could you forget there's one up there?! Since there aren't any nerve endings all the way up there you might not feel it, but still!! Gross!

I highly doubt anyone could be that stupid to forget a tampon inside them. But if by chance this is possible, they would most likely suffer from "Toxic Shock Syndrom".

I think that she might be lying to you. If she really left her tampon in there, it would be 1) really humiliating, and unlikely that she would tell you, and two, she would feel it around in there when she was full. I personally think that she would remember about a tampon being inside of her.

OH MAN THAT SOUNDS VERY UNCLEAN! I MEAN IT'S DANGEROUS TO EVEN WEAR A TAMPON FOR TO LONG LET ALONE FORGETTING YOU HAD ONE ON! SHE COULD HAVE SUFFERED FROM TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME! SHE SHOULD STILL SEE A DOCTOR AND GET CHECKED OUT. I MEAN JUST BE VERY CAREFUL NEXT TIME, OR DON'T USE THEM AT ALL!

yes this does sound nasty. but an "overlooked" tampon can lead to serious problems! if your friend still has an odor she should see a dr.
