I dated/ lived w/ my ex for 4 yrs (hes 47, Im 38). Relationship was mostly positive and we were pretty happy. Started going through a bad phase, I quit smoking, he had health probs. We got in such an argument one day (day of his grandmothrs funeral) and I threw him out. (in a rage). He had a friend that never liked me- he grew up with her. They had plenty of chances to hook up; but never did. He always said she just as unattractive inside as outside, but she was his friend, so I looked the other way.When we broke up she took him in. Within months he lost his job, started living with her and had lost friends, family, etc. No one likes her, she sheilds him from everyone. He comes here now, calls me, etc. says hes thinking about things. He reminisces on our good times and comes here when he feels down/out. We both still have strong feelings for eachother. We agree we made mistakes and learned from it. He says he wants to be the man he used to be. Can he be wanting to come back? PlsHelp

I've asked around, some people tell me that this is waaay too big of a difference in age for it to work out, but when I talk to guys closer to my age, there's just not as much of an attraction. I go on dates with them and stuff, but never feel a connection to them. Obviously it's me that has the problem, and not them, they're decent enough people, I just don't find them intriguing or alluring in any way. I've been told "oh but if you date older, they'll become old guys!" So does everyone else that doesn't die beforehand, it's a kinda weak arguement. Anyway, thank you in advance for any answers.

Over twenty years ago, a couple students at, Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, encountered phenomena whose shape and color should be obvious. It inspired a movement in that community, which has taken on a life of its own around the world. In the year of its conception, The Fellowship Of The Purple Cube had a hundred members and was growing geometrically. While the group was registered as a student organization, this was merely a means to access campus resources. All that was actually necessary for membership was to properly perform the cubic handshake with another member (Unit Cell). Once one has done so she or he may be the means whereby others may gain membership. This opens up the possibility that there are millions of Unit Cells out there with no idea where the organization came from or what its basic principles are. Having been one of those first couple students, I was hoping to learn what off-shoots of this group are doing now.

I just recently left the man I was living with because of his drinking.
We were together for 6 years. When we got together I was an alcoholic too. I have been sober now for three years. I am the Mother of three kids(two grown and away from home,and my youngest turned 14 on Thanksging. I love this man with all of my heart, but I just could not stay any longer and subject myself or my daughter to his crazy behavior when he was drunk. When he is sober he is totally oppsite,hes witty, and kind and lovable. I pleaded with him to please get help with his drinking, because I love him,and I want him to get help.,and I didn't want to leave, but he ave me no choice. He says that he loves us, and that we are his family and he misses us, but he still drinks every day. I don't want to go back because I know that he has not changed, but my heart hurts so bad. I want him to get help so that we can be a family again. I love him so much. OUCH! I don't know what to do. Do you understand?

Is it mean of me to have said that I wouldn't go out with him, but would with his friend when he asked me out?? He really likes me but I really like his friend. The first few times he asked me out I politely said no, but this last time I said (See above) Was that mean?? He and I are good friends still but he still likes me. Why can't he take a hint?? I was wondering if it was just in my case -- whenever I go there, even if I go with a different hairstylist, they always cut my hair either too short, completely different from the picture I took, or one side longer or shorter than the other. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, please tell me why?!
