Ah, that my dear is what they term as, rejection.
We all have those moments yours truly included=)
How to deal with it?
Hmm... not easy am afraid. I suppose to just brush it off and try again, perhaps as cliche as that sounded.
Frankly, think of it not as a loss on your part but a stepping stone to something greater.
There'll be lots of closed doors in our lifetime, but with perseverance a door will eventually open in your favor, you'll see.

Remembering a line from the Guru Gita; "Accept what ever comes to thee,it may be much or it may be naught,from bonds of craving thou must be free" Then I can let Go of the desire for the fruit of action. My duty is to perform action, but let God decide the fruit of the action.

Actually rejection gets my off.
Which helps me survive, but is doesn't help the species any.
