Don't forget we are still paying for the war in Bosnia and Korea.
The better question I think is why do we keep getting involved in other countries affairs ? Why are we trying to be the policemen of the world ? That is why we are so hated and despised in the eyes of the world. How many good people did we lose in Vietnam ? What do we ever get out of these incursions of ours ?
Liberal or Conservative, it doesn't matter both parties are guilty of getting us involved in things we later come to regret.
