My apartment is a mess. I just can't keep it clean. It's disgusting. I can barely walk through it and I still have stuff in boxes and bags from when I moved in LAST YEAR. I don't have much time off from work. Just a couple of hours at night and 4 hours on Sunday away from the office. I'm exhausted from work, too. But..even when I have had it clean, It only stays that way for a couple of days!!!! I'm miserable with it like this!

Found an awesome property, but it was listed as "pending, continue to show". Called about it, was told that there was a good chance the buyer would be unable to close. Viewed the property. Was basically stonewalled until the last minute, the seller's realtor waiting for the actual closing date (ignored requests for additional info on the home, etc.)
Last minute, we were advised that it would not close, and invited to make an offer, with no official deadline. Scraped together an offer, only to get EMAIL (no calls) from the seller's agent saying that they could wait no longer and would extend the original buyer a week. Faxed the offer anyway, NO response.
The next week 2 days before close the agent called my agent saying that it was 100% certain to close, but NO word since! Tax site still shows original owner, property is still listed on all sites, sign still in yard, so signs of any change. We have no way to know if our offer was even shown to seller! Illegal, or just UNETHICAL?

In Buddhism ethics are measured via The Noble 8-Fold Path, as follows:

1. Right View
2. Right Intention
3. Right Speech
4. Right Action
5. Right Livelihood
6. Right Effort
7. Right Mindfulness
8. Right Concentration

In contrast, the Bible & many Christians put forward the 10 Commandments:

1. You shall have no other Gods but me.
2. You shall not make for yourself any idol, nor bow down to it or worship it.
3. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
4. You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy.
5. Respect your father and mother.
6. You must not kill.
7. You must not commit adultery.
8. You must not steal.
9. You must not give false evidence against your neighbour.
10. You must not be envious of your neighbour's goods. You shall not be envious of his house nor his wife, nor anything that belongs to him.

Which set of guidelines are the most useful in living an ethical, spiritually-aware life?

I have a plastic stick-on hook that I would like to remove from the back of a masonite door. I have not been able to detach it as it is stuck on like I can't believe. I wouldn't want to damage any part of the door but wouldn't mind if it took some finish off of the part that is covered now.
Serious answers please. The hook part has broken, and I am trying to replace it. Thanks for your help.

Went to renew my pass and found it comes to £50 a month or 3 months for £140 and a year = £500. If lost or stolen I cannot get a refund on the unused time. That is why I have a monthy pass. Are other areas of the UK Cheaper for bus travel and the distance you can go?

i think west coast africans are the worst, its very sleazy and desperate, its like they're buying meat. Australians have the best approach its very causal and effortless.

Cities Like Maywood, CA
And Other Self Proclaimed "Sanctuaries"

What Will They Do
When The ILLEGAL ALIENS Flock To Them By The Millions
(A Reaction To Ordinances In Hazleton, For Instance)

And Even THEY (Sanctuaries) Find Themselves
Incredibly Overwhelmed By The Massive Numbers
Of Out Of Work ILLEGAL ALIENS
With No Federal Funds To Support Them
Not Enough Housing To Shelter Them
Not Enough Jobs To Employ Them
And Not Enough Resources To Sustain Them ??

What Do You Think Will Happen ?

My b/f and I have been together for 3 1/2 years and own a house together.

recently we seem to have lost that "spark" and have discussed it and both feel like we aren't overly happy. we do get on well, chat and go out but there just seems to be something missing.

we want it to work out but both have doubts in case it doesn't and it's just all a waste of time.

I really don't know what to do, the thought of loosing him makes me feel like being sick, if we did split i would have to move away, what to do?

if anyone has any advice whatsoever it would be greatly appreciated, serious answers only please I'm really not in the mood for joking
