Would love to go to central Europe and am considering visiting Poland. Is it a nice place to go to?

I can only relay what I was told by our exchange student.
The people are ok... but when shopping if you do not pay attention to your change and know the exchange rate they will screw you out of money. Carry a calculator and hit the problem head on to get all the money you have coming.

Friendly people, and inexpensive shopping and hotels. The country is a bit behind the times, and the people are very religious.

There`s not much to see. Try to make your trip so that you spend only a day per that kind of country. For example, start from finland, continue to baltia, and from there to poland and maybe to germany. Country like france is going to need at least one week, especially if the riviera included (then maybe more)

Sure! :) My city (Bydgoszcz) is not especially nice, but there are many other which I love... Go to GdaÅsk, PoznaÅ, Cracow... Maybe also ToruÅ? It's quite ok...

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by 'nice' - it is a beautiful and fascinating country, but you have to be tough to survive. Depends on what you are looking for, really.

I'd go, but only to see Auschwitz to educate myself. Besides that, I wouldn't like to go. The women are too beautiful and it depresses me.

It's lovely, especially Krakow. Polish people are very friendly.

Yes!........a lot.........it is very, very old country and very, very nice country. Go to Wroclaw, Warszawa, Gdansk, Poznan, Krakow.
