In the Book of James, in the Bible, James says that "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

He says nothing about receiving Jesus as your Savior, or being baptized, or going to church. Could it be that Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Jew, Athiest, Spiritist, Agnostic are merely labels and not true religions? Could it be that helping people who need help and not giving in to the corrupt practices of the world are what God honors?

Or is James wrong?

keep apologizing to my bf about things i did in the past but he doesn't seem too forgiving and i understand. but i think it's unfair him to take 3 days to think about what he should do about us while i'm forced with the stress of having to wait for my bf to possibly to break up with me. advice? how can i truly prove to him that i'm willing to commit?

ive been with this guy for years and we broke up but were stillliving together.i just found out he was lying to me and was doing dope. now hes a full blown crack head junky. after work (where i guzzled a bunch of whiskey)a mutual frined and i went out and got even more drunk and then i came home. he was laying on the couch (i thought he was mad at me ) and then out of nowhere we started fighting and then he called me a c*** (which is the most offensive thing someone i love can call me)so SUPPOSEDLY i threatened to stab him and his parents (who normally love me) got really pissed and so i left. well my mom (who wasnt talking to me) picked me up and just started screaming at me and told me how much she hated me blahh blahh blahh. so i ran out the house and somehow ended up 8 miles in the "worst" city in ny (not in nyc) where i got picked up by the police.lately ive been so hurt& neverbeen so wasted in mylife and now he wants nothing to do with me. what do i do to earn his friendship back

I am a nice person, I stay to myself, I don't bother anyone. I wear name brand clothes like everyone else (name brand not designer) and I am not a show off. I mean people just hate and talk about me and I don't understand why, I mean if I don't like someone I don't acknowledge them in anyway. Can anyone help to understand why people hate on me.

long story short: my on/off ex of 1.5 yrs (we were serious @ one point) finally broke it off and found someone new.this was right after it was announced that i found someone new.we both rebounded and that was obvious.however when i broke up with the rebound guy and went to my ex's apt and showed up crying. he told me that he was in a new relationship and didn't really care and didn't really wanna hang out anymore. and then i told him that i wanted time away from him and he was devastated and said: "nono let's be friends! how about fri?"... which confused me. but nevertheless, i didn't talk to him for 5 days and he told our mutual friend that he was depressed but didn't know why. i got worried and gave in, and ended up having dinner with him. he hugged me and said: "i missed you SOO much." he also kept staring at me and said i looked good. then when we went to hang out with a mutual friend, he kept bringing up the past and calling me his old petnames. i still like him. what is he doing?

I have been experiencing more frequent shaking of my hands and legs. And it is always followed by really bad headache, dizziness and sweating specially my hands. They sweat alot. Does anyone know whats going on? And also whevever I walk I start getting this pinching pain in my lower right backside. I know it's not a muscle because it happens on one side and limited area not the whole area. I cant even walk once I the pain starts. Whenever I breathe in it gets worse or when I bend or move a bit it gets worse. What could be the reason for that?

Can anyone help with this - not sure if I'm doing it right! OK I need to give the 6 equations for the synthesis of hexamminenickel chloride and have been given the first and last ones. The first equation is
[Ni(H2O)6]2+ + NH3 <===> [Ni(H2O)5 NH3]2+ + H2O
(The arrow ment to be equilibrium arrow)

and the overall equation is;

[Ni(H2O)6]2+ + 6NH3 <===> [Ni(H2O)5 NH3]2+ + 6H2O

Am I right in thinking that each step would simply be as the first but with each step having one more molecule of NH3 and H2O each time e.g. step 2;

[Ni(H2O)6]2+ + 2NH3 <===> [Ni(H2O)5 NH3]2+ + 2H2O

and step 3;

[Ni(H2O)6]2+ + 3NH3 <===> [Ni(H2O)5 NH3]2+ + 3H2O

etc...


or am I doing it totally wrong! Any help would be very much appreciated as nothing in my textbook about it and it is for a lab tomorrow!!!

I've often wondered about this question. I lean toward the idea that God can know all things at any given moment if He so chooses to. But I don't think He just automatically knows all things. Several places in the Bible give me this impression. First, when he tested Abraham, asking him to sacrifice his son. There is argument that God knew Abraham would do so, but wanted to do this for Abraham's sake...but what about Isaac? If my dad told me he was going to kill me because God told him to, I'd have been scarred for life, even if it didn't happen. Second, God asked Adam in the Garden of Eden, "where are you?" after Adam had hid because he knew he was naked. With this, there is argument that God was asking Adam to take account of his standing with God, but does that mean God just messes with us to see us squirm? Third, in Genesis 5:6, it says "The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain." If he knew before he even created...

i dont got dat kind of money to go and buy shoes for 200 dollars or 150. tooo expensive..but yea theres this dude on foodtown here in the northside of houston by little york and I45 by the hollywood video dat sells airforces and my friends says there real. does anybody recomend this dude. cause like i wus thinkin if they were fake the police would have done sumthing uknow? so does anybody know if they are real. cause he does sell them for 70 dolars the jordans and 55 the airforces. so any recommendation for this dude or wut ... should i buy some

I currently have $73,000 in student loan debt from undergrad/grad through Sallie Mae. The interest rate is 9%, and my montly payments are outrageous. After the capitolized interest, I will be paying close to $140,000 after 12 years. My great grandchildren will be paying this debt long after I am gone. What is the best way to consolidate this debt and get a lower interest rate and better monthly payments. I am living in hell right now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
