We have annual performace appraisal in my company with the manager. How should i prepare for that? What point should i follow? How should i negotiate?

Yesterday my computer wouldn't load Windows XP completely. While booting, the regular Windows splash screen came up, but then instead of showing the desktop, I just saw the cursor on a black field for a few seconds, then just a black screen. The computer would boot completely in Safe Mode, but would not do a normal boot when I tried it multiple times. Today, though, the computer boots normally. What could have caused this problem? How can I prevent it from happening in the future?

There is this guy that I am friends with, we have been friends for a few months. We hang out every now and then, and one time we even kissed. We are friends through our work, a lot of us there are friends. Not long after we kissed, he started dating this girl we work with, who, although she is pretty, is kind of a ditz and not very nice to people. Recently he stopped seeing her, and the other night, eating dinner with my family, I saw him in the restaurant with another girl I know who is even DUMBER than the girl he was seeing before! Again, she is pretty, but a total bimbo. Now, I happen to be very intelligent, and this guy is always teasing me about being intellectual or educated. He also tells me that he thinks I am attractive, and has even told me that I "turn him on". He's also very flirty and touchy-feely with me. I know he's attracted to me, and he continues to date attractive yet stupid girls, should I assume the reason he is not dating me is that he prefers bimbos?

I like this girl, but all we really do is walk & talk daily since we have classes together. I want to get closer to her, but not necessarily ask her out. I'm thinking along the lines of giving hugs, playfully touching her more, putting my arm around her, etc. But I don't know where to start, or how to go about doing these things I mentioned. Are there people who can't live without God?
I mean people who without God in their lives will commit suicide or murder someone?
People whose lives are filled with pain & desperation that without God they feel hopeless, worthless and their lives unbearable & meaningless?
then why not support them...encourage them to believe in god instead of telling them "God is not real"
is it impossible, that some people can be so poor and pathetic?

I am trying to understand why congregations will spend millions of dollars building a new church when there are so many starving and homeless childern. Do they think that God is impressed? Do they think it will get them a better seat in heaven? Do they sleep well knowing they will have a brand new, state of the art church in which to worship while little childern are sleeping on dirty streets and in abandoned houses without a warm meal in their tummies?? Why does God not slap them silly? I guess it is because they are already stupid.

An experienced shaman led a group meditation to discover our power animal. During the meditation, she told us to imagine we were in Africa, only I wasn't in Africa -- I was somewhere in North America. A Snowy Owl met me and pierced me with her eyes and then clawed my stomach. I then flew on her back through the snowy, coniferous forest in the dead of night. I didn't get the chance to ask the shaman what it might have meant. I e-mailed her but she hasn't responded.

So, does anyone here know about Snowy Owls as it broadly relates to Shamanism? What does my totem animal signify? What could my experience mean?

Ok so my net loads google or yahoo or any other broswer fast, and i can browse the net fast, but when i go to a site, and it starts downloading pictures, or i try to play a video it takes way too long and it slows my computer down, it usualy doesnt do this for me because i have a cable modem, what is causing this and how do i fix it?
