Ok so my net loads google or yahoo or any other broswer fast, and i can browse the net fast, but when i go to a site, and it starts downloading pictures, or i try to play a video it takes way too long and it slows my computer down, it usualy doesnt do this for me because i have a cable modem, what is causing this and how do i fix it?

photos are labor intensive for a computer and video even worse, so you just have to put up with it, be sure you delete things you dont need and then do a disk clean up and defrag often.

well, since you said you have a cable modem the connection speed shouldn't be a problem right? well i think it can be.
i have a friend on broadband yet the same thing happens when the browser downloads pics and videos and all those stuff.
maybe you try scannin for malwares and all those stuff.
or you could use other web browsers such as opera or firefox if your using IE.

Have you downloaded a lot of stuff lately? Check how much memory you have left and you might need to get rid of some stuff. Also, viruses and spyware/adware might be slowing it down too. Check for that as well... as far as anything else... I'm not a comp genius so I dunno lol.
oh and make sure you clean out the web histories, cookies, etc... and defrag your comp once a week.
