Yes. sum1 who splz like dis iz presents a different attitude and persona than someone who spells and writes more like this -- and a person whose usage of miscellaneous bits and pieces of the English language (to wit: the alphabet) seems rather contorted simply invites a completely different response altogether.
I'm not saying it's bad -- as long as the content comes through -- just people will respond differently.

Two priests smoke and wonder whether it's wrong to smoke whilst praying. They both write the pope and get different responses. The first one says:
"Is it wrong to smoke while I pray?" The pope writes back and says, "Yes, prayer is a solemn ritual, not to be polluted with vice."
The other one writes "Is is wrong to pray while I smoke?" The pope writes back, "Not at all, it's always OK to pray!"

Yes. If you ask your question in a mean way, you will get mean answers. If you ask in a nice way you will get nice and more imformative answers.
