The only real benefit to marriage is tax relief. The government allows for more tax credit for married couples. The government views marriage as a business venture. That's why marriage certificates in most states have the seal of the treasurer on them.
For the majority of women the benefits are obvious: Child support and alimony.
For most men, there are no benefits.
If you really care about some one and truly love them you'll sign a pre-nuptial. It will make sure that the marriage is entered and, if it comes to it, exited on good terms.

if two people cant be in a committed relationship for a period of 2 to 3 years without problems, they should not get married to anyone.
the problem with marriage is this. women get married because their friends are getting married or what other people will say. men get married when they are ready. when a ready man gets married to a woman that cares less about the what people will say, there's a chance. a man getting married when he is not ready is a bad idea.
u want my advice? dont do it men! or woman! learn to enjoy being alone!

marriage ia about being one. love respect and honesty. and no women do not think about alimony and child support. i know at least when i divorced my first hubby you could only get one or the other not both. but i left my hubby cause he was messing around on me. he broke every vow we made. i didn't want to get married again because of mistrust in men, but i met a wonderful man and married him and honestly its better the 2nd time round. i love being with just one person and not having to do the dating thing. and yes marriage can hurt if someone breaks the vows you made. and when i said my vows they were with all my heart. i just think marriage is a good and wonderful union.

Commitment to an ideal.
An attempt to achieve an ideal.
Safe and secure in the arms of someone committed to loving you.
Order and structure within society in the face of chaos.
As far as divorce? It's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
Why take the chance? If you don't take the shot you can't score the goal.
