ok heres the deal i got basketball tryouts on monday and im ready ( i hope lol) ive been deticated to bball all my life. . . but im sick! im on meds. from the doc. and im getting tons of rest and staying warm. . do u thik dis will afect my game? i wanna make varsity and pretty sure i will. . what else can i do to keep active and keep on hustlin during the tryouts and get better by monday afternoon? thanks for da help

so i met this girl off a free dating site, i said would u like to chat, she said yes, so i asked her for her aim and she said no u should call me. and she gave me her number. so i called, we talked about college our majors, siblings, she commented on my shirtless pic on my profile, asked if i was shy, etc etc.. then she said she was gonna take a shower "do u want me to call u back?" i said "yea sure" so she said ok talk to you then, i say the same, hang up. oh yeah and during the convo shes like "ive never asked out a guy..its against my beliefs" i ask "so u always wait for the guy to ask out u ?" she says "yeah im traditional when it comes to dating. As something of a curious individual, I find the bible to be a highly interesting text. However, one thing I keep returning to is the bizarre character of God. From Cain, the Flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, the choice of Moses as his mouthpiece and the slaughter of Egypt's firstborn, through the sacrificial and murderous laws of Leviticus and the trials of the Jewish people to Jesus himself and his sacrifice on the Cross and Paul's theories of what that sacrifice means in terms of Afterlife (never mind the Church's own escapades), the entire history of the Christian faith seems to rest on the back of people who have killed or died violent deaths.

Does the Christian God benefit from death?
Is the point of Christianity that Jesus satisfies this need?
If so, is this a problem?
If not, why is God's history so filled with violence?

The nation's citizen soldiers, already strained by long tours in Iraq will be tapped again under new plans being developed by the Pentagon. And, defense officials are adjusting their policy that limits the deployment of reserves in the war to 24 months.

The Marines are drawing up similar plans that would for the first time send some reserve combat battalions back to Iraq for a second tour.

Under the unlimited authority given him by fearful people and a Republican Congress Bush ordered the call-up of the Guard and Reserve after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and can mobilized troops an unlimited number of times and so units that have already served in Iraq will be called for a second and a thitd tour.

It is only just that only those RED states that voted republican in 2006 in support of those deluded neo-con sociopaths in the whitehouse should supply guard troops for service in Iraq. Blue states guard units can be called to serve elsewhere.
