I just came back from my vacation. Now I am back in college at my dorm. I don't know why I am feeling so scared to face everything alone now. Being with parents I feel so safe, everything is there for you even for emotional support. Being away from them I feel down, insecured. I am missing them so much and can't concentrate on anything else. Please some advice!

I live at a remote military base in Germany and have volunteered to be the cheerleading coach for 2 teams;ages 8-9 and ages 12-15 (this is not competitive cheerleading, by the way) They will be cheering for the basketball teams for their age group.I have never done this before;the only experience that I have is that I used to be a cheerleader in jr. high and high school.I could really use some tips on what to do....or a site that I could go to for coaches? When I was a cheerleader,we went to camp during the summer to learn new cheers/chants/stunts for the year,to add to some old favorites,but these girls will not have that.Any help?And does anyone know how I should begin the first practice?And how often do you think I should have them practice?I don't want to go overboard and piss off the parents;but I want to practice as much as possible so that they don't make themselves look bad out there;any tips would be great...even if you are a young cheerleader yourself....thanks!

There is regional variation as my parents said a different thing to me . I am from cumbria ( kendal) and we used Skingees. Its a magic word that makes you inivisible from tig for when you need to tie your shoe lace or something so you dont get caught. Anyone else remember this or am i really just crazy? Please post your version and the region you were in when using it .

A few years back I was walking home from work at 4pm on a busy part of town, idecided to take the short cut through a little ginal like i always did when i was in a rush, to my horror a tall young guy was there he pulled his pants down and told me to do very rude things to him i told him to f.... off and he grabbed me hard and spun me around, luckily one of my ex boyfriends had taught me self defence and i gave him a good kicking and managed to run off, (my ex was a complete pastard but at least he came in handy for something), anyway i went to the police and to my astonishment they told me that if they catch this creep he could have me done for offensive language then they asked if i drew blood or left a mark on him, feeling quite happy with myself for teaching this perv a lesson i told them i did a half round house kick on his bare leg and cut him they then told me he could have me done for assault, what the hell is that all about, surely it is a womans right to defend her self...

Whether one can shape own destiny.. Can negativity be prevented? Some people believe in the so called Murphy`s law and believe that destiny can`t be changed and if something bad has to happen it will happen. On the contrary, some believe in prayers and taking remedies to avoid falling into the trap of ill fortune, which calls for intense faith and patience depending on the magnitude of the problem...what`s your say?
