I have a chance to sign a contract for a record deal. My parents and most of my family thinks its a waste of time. My step-dad is dieing and my mom really needs me. She says all my step- dad wants is to see me succeed, but not in music. I've had dreams taken from me all my life, so why bother with this one?

my teacher says a complete sentence is not a fragment, so its a complete thought. anyway on a homework assignment it said 'write in complete sentences!!'. i did, and the teacher marked all of them wrong!! when i asked her why she said they werent complete sentences, but they were. she told me that a complete sentence 'rephrases' the question. that doesnt make sense. why would you rephrase the question when its right there?! for example:

1. where is the white city located?
A:the white city is located ___________.

why are we supposed to rephrase the question? we dont rephrase the question in conversations. is it just to make us write more? or is my teacher crazy?

I'm writing a hypthesis for my science project backed up by research. I need to add more..but what? My proj.: Can you make two raw eggs float in a glass of salt and plain warm water? My hypothesis so far: My hypothesis is that the raw egg will float in a glass of salt water because salt water is thicker and denser than plain water. This is because the denser a liquid, the more buoyancy it provides for an object. You will float higher when swimming in salt water than in fresh water because salt water is denser. In physics, buoyancy is an upward force on an object immersed in a fluid (a liquid or a gas), enabling it to float or at least to appear lighter. Buoyancy is important for many vehicles such as boats, ships, balloons, and airships. The buoyancy of an object depends, therefore, only upon two factors: the object's volume, and the density of the surrounding fluid.

I was born and raised in Atlanta and I just moved to this town in Virginia and I dont know anyone here...on the first day at my new high school everyone was coming up to me asking me questions and being nice...I did have a lot of friends back home and I thought I was on the track to making new ones....well I didnt know how fake these girls were....alot of boys at my school were really flirting with me and asking me for my number. Some of them has girlfriends and being that Im new I didnt know that...well some of the girls would ask me if I liked some of the boys that were approaching me knowing that they had girlfriends...well they went back to the girls and told them I was trying to steal their man!!! Now I really only talk to the boys b/c the girls dont like me and I really do want girl friends here b/c although the boys are great I know how great it is to have female friends...but I dont want to be fake at the same time because that's just not me....what should I do???

My boy friend and i live together, i think this was a big mistake but, him and his ex-wife are constantly an the phone or he is at her house. He says he does not love her but if she yells jump, he does. I think he is more commited to her than me. What should i do? Call it quits or as his sister and mine says, wait. Give it time. I have told him how i feel about this and he lets it go over his head like i said nothing.
