actually, some people would find it preferrable to spend as little
time with family and friends as possible.
I know a guy who puts in 20 hours of overtime during the week as
much to keep away from his wife as for the time itself.
So sad, but some people have a great family life, but their job keeps them away from their loved ones far too much. Now
that truly sucks.........

I have a friend with benefits and sometimes i feel as if he doesnt want to get to know me beyond the sex. this is the same guy that had split personalities one day he is okay and the next he is not. I put him on blast and told him that there is more to me than just sex and that if didnt want to get to know me beyond the sex then he could just hit the road. To make a long story short he has been calling asking about my day for the past two days. I dont know if he really cares or if he is doing this to continue to sleep with me. what do you think?

my sister was having a right strop and moaning about family and saying to her next door neighbour wouldnt it be nice to choose your parents and that sometimes she wished she was adopted.
her neighbour said very little, it was only later she learnt from his sister he was adopted.

I'm starting with wmv files (windows media player) and want to put them on a DVD that will play on my TV/DVD player. Nero will not do it as it requires ifo, bup, or vob files. So what program(s) do you use to convert wmv files to one of these formats? Please don't recommend a website with umpteen choices. If you don't currently use a program to do this, then please don't answer. A shareware or free-to-try program would be great. I've tried Super, but it doesn't convert to iso or bup or vob from wmv. Thanks.

The main feature I'm looking for in a digital camera (for regular use--nothing too fancy) is the speed in which it actually shoots the picture. I hate getting a great pose from little kids or a great smile and pressing the button and having the shot happen 3 seconds AFTER that great opportunity. Is your camera one of those really quick ones? I'm also not looking to spend over $250, btw.

I got dumped 3 months ago by my ex. We lived together for 3 years. She was pretty ruthless with the breakup although has given very confusing and mixed messages when-ever I see her (ie; such as kissing me a month ago and saying she "loves me" with tears in her eyes), although we never talk now

In the last two weeks I have been at the same work functions as her on at least 3 occassions and she doesn't acknowledge my presence, although I haven't waved/smiled at her either. It seems as though she leaves the event once I am there as well

What is going on in her head - is this hate, guilt, ambivalence? I just dont get why an adult after 3 great years would act like this. The history doesnt go away. I don't buy all this "no contact" stuff; it seems like its just a way of acting like you never gave a damn
