It's scheduled for 2009, after which it's supposed to be held every four years:

I hope they change some of the rules - like pitch limit counts - to make it a little better next time around.
As for the third answer here - It's supposed to be held every four years after 2009, according to MLB. However, Cuba and a couple of other countries are pushing to make it every two years. There is only a three-year range between '06 and '09, not the rest of them.

2009... the WBC is set to be held every THREE years.
