I have to write a play and short story for class but I do not know the format, or how to start off writing it. I am looking for suggestions or critques when should the plot or conflict should begin.

My father and Mother divorced before I was 2. After the divorce, I rarely saw my father. He moved away when I was 12-13 and I didnt see or hear from him until I was 21. He came to our town and someone saw him and told my brother he was in town. My brother had to search him out, and then he brought him to my house. I saw him for maybe 30 minutes. I never saw him again. I just recieved a phone call last thursday from a friend of his saying that he had leukemia and would be dying very soon. He would like for me to come and see him. Do you think it would be good for me to see him...or just another disappointment?

My boyfriend (we live together) has an ex /broke up with three years ago. He swears he does not like her, but his friends tell me the following: "She drives by our house, cried when we moved in, talks about him all the time, asks tons of questions about me, tries to go to any event that he will be there, brings guys to make him jealousetc" She has called him at 2:00 in the morning, texted him all day when we have been at common events, emails, etc.
Then-she confronted me at a bar, told me she was going to get him back, I had moved into HER house, and threatned me. She also said I don't know him like I think I do.
CONCLUSION: We saw her a bar on Friday, and my boyfriend completely ignored her the whole time. Then he said he wanted to say good bye to her/ told me to wait outside. I did not, he talked to her for 10 min. He has lied about talking to her, so I checked his phone. He had a one hr phone call two wks ago and hid it. He also yelled at me, called me psycho and crazy. Cheater?

When we introduce an animal in a story or or an article, should we use THE or A / AN?

Some of what I have read made use of THE while some made use of A / An.

For example, 'the giraffe' is the tallest animal. Why can't we use 'a giraffe' in this sentence?

We've been ttc for almost 4 months now. Had surgery 7 months ago, removed one ovary. I've tried everything to track ovulation. I don't think that my surviving ovary is even releasing an egg because my BBT never rises or drops, I've taken ovulation predictor test and it was neg.....So, my question is: If you don't ovulate, does your body ever adjust itself and start releasing eggs again or do you have to take medication like Clomid or something to make your ovary to release eggs? Please help!

In the catholic religion what is the basis for not being a god parent anymore. When my husband and his ex were asked to be god parents they both said yes. So they baptized their god daughter together the father knew they werent married (which i didnt know you had to be) he said as long as they planned on getting married they would be the baby's god parents. If they broke up they werent god parents anymore. My husband doesnt keep in contact anymore with that side of his life because of complications with his ex. Is he still considered or supposed to be considered the god father anymore?

As far as I know the sale of Roo for a measly £20m had a number of conditions and payments related to silverware etc.

I believe EFC negotiated 25% of any monies made above £20m on waynes resale whilst under his initial 5 yr Man U contract.

What about contract renegotiations? Are we set to get a nice windfall from the alledged £80m 10 year deal he been offered?
