I'm 18 years old, and I do think that today's youth is sad, but not because their sexuality or beliefs... those are personal choices that people make, which is not at all bad! homosexuality is not a trend... there are people that can feel attracted to the same sex, it's not something new. Look at is this way, if the common and what is considered "normal" sexuality was homosexual and you happened to be in love with a guy, what would you do? would you ignore the feeling because people will think bad? I actually admire in a way homosexuality... they admit and accept what they feel, they don't hide it because of what people might think and that's great! and as of religion, not everyone believes in god... there have been different religions for hundreds and hundreds of years, you believe in what you want to, the fact that someone has different beliefs does not mean that they are "wrong" What really is sad about youth these days is their education, their priorities, and the horrible cling they have to technology... you barely see kids playing hide and seek outside, childhood is not the same as it used to be and it never will be...

I am not a youth, but I think that a great topic would be self esteem. The media floods kids with the idea that they need to be absolutely perfect, and sets false ideals which can be unhealthy.

Kids need to realize that these images are not only unattainable, but abnormal. It is not normal or natural for a girl to weigh 80lbs, nor is it normal for a young boy to look like a body builder...

I think these mages have a huge effect on the health and well being of today's kids. Just an idea!!

The times, the changes that happened; the youth of yesterday, the youth of today, the youth of tomorrow. Just talk about them, how far they got, how life used to be and how life is for them now. Talk about their immense potential and how they could one day make the world better for their offsprings.

It depends on what kind of youth group. What's their mission? Generally speaking, I'd pick a topic on acceptance of others and importance of unity. I think prejudice and carelessness stop us from making this place a better world.

Sh*tty parenting...more and more kids are having to raise themselves basically b/c parents dont have a clue these days. They think just feeding them and giving them a roof is all they have to do. They want the schools to raise their kids these days. Seriously...how many kids parents actually punish their kids now? How many parents even care what their kids do? How many parents just hang out with their kids? How many parents spoil their kids (another big problem)? Just parents dont know what they are doing it seems.........

I would talk about college and the importance of doing well in high school. I made the mistake of not taking high school as seriously as i should have, and it definitely came back to bite me in the butt.

pressure...I'm 17 and thats the kind of thing I'd like to hear being discussed. there's so many things you could talk about and I think they'd respond well if you know what you're talking about. everyone has problems and its easier if we know people are going through similar experiences
