My family and I want to adopt a dog from the humane society, but we dont know whats the best kind of dog for us. we live in a smallish- medium-sized -ish home with two stories and a medium-sized backyard. could we get a big dog? or should we get a small dog, or how much does size really matter?

I work out 3-4 times a week/an hour or two each time. I don't want to bulk up but I am lean and want to stay this way. I know that protein is important in muscle repair and that I why I am curious as to how much is adequate for the amount of exercise I do. I am 5'5, 120lbs. i think it was76 or 77 me and my mate (a liverpool fan) washed cars to get the money to go and see man u play at west brom and we got trounced 4-0 we did the same again and watched liverpool and liverpool won (sulk) we ent again the next season and it was 4-0 again i was well upset lol.
