God and love are certainly similar in structure. In both cases, the essence is one of connection between people and the formation of an apparent single, comfortable unit; where love specifically refers to individual people or beings, God refers to that same connection with the underlying spirit of the World at large.

I would argue, however, that God and love are two specific but separate aspects of the general phenomenon that is a unified engagement with reality rather than being equivilent.

Love? Have you had a good look around lately? Love in your community perhaps, but the rest of the world?? Please open your eye's to the reality that is. If there is a God, it stopped caring a long long time ago. Love is love, and I agree that the world needs more, but in the form of an omnipresent entity that's responsible for the majority of death and destruction in the worlds history? I think God had it's chance and lost, we must now all learn respect and compassion, Christian morals perhaps, but unite us all rather then segregate. Peace xx

I do believe that God is love. Some feel that because of all the suffering we see around the world, he doesn't care, but he does. God's way of handling the rebellion that started in Eden show his profound love for each one of us and his concern form our future.

1. He has provided the earth, which is full of natural beauty, fascinating animal life, and productive land. - Acts 14:17; Romans 1:20

2. He has given us a marvelous body that enables us to find delight in day-to-day experiences, such as tasting good food, seeing a sunset, hearing a child laugh, and feeling the tender touch of a loved one. -Psalm 139.14

3. He provides us with wise guidance that hels us to cope with problems and pressures.-Psalm 19:7, 8; 119:105; Isaiah 48:17,18

4. He gives us a wonderful hope, including the prospect of living a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. -Luke 23:43; John 5:28,29

5. He sent his only-begotten Son to die in our behalf so that we might have the hope of living forever. -John 3:16

6. He has established the Messianic Kingdom in heaven and given us abundant evidence that the Kingdom will soon take full control over the earth.-Isaiah 9:6,7; Matthew 24:3,4,7; Revelation 11:15; 12:10

7. He invites us to approach him in prayer, to pour out our heart to him, and when we do so he really listens. -Psalms 62:8; 1 John 5:14,15

8. He repeatedly assures humans of his deep love and concern.-1John 4:9,10,19

The spirit of god expresses love, we as souls can connect to it thru faith and by simply asking, the prince of the power of the air rules this world.yes God is love that goes though into something mysterious, because gods love is gods love and as little bitty tiny souls we can not fully understand god and all of his ways, so we must simply have faith and a will to do gods will in our lifes as best we can

I believe that many of my good neighbors believe this. I am happy for them, especially if it brings them comfort in times of distress and encourages them to treat their fellows with love. I would even defend their right to believe, even though I do not. What I do believe is that human beings should rise above our baser instincts and treat one another with respect. That's the love I believe in encouraging.
