There are several places in the world which I'd really like to see - famous monuments, castles, ancient buildings, etc. But at this point, it isn't feasible or possible for me to travel there. For the interest of both historical preservation and for people like me, it would seem like there would be some movement to create a "virtual" reproduction of famous places. I mean, something 3D on a computer that you could walk around and look at the buildings, explore around a bit, maybe view the artwork inside, etc. The only thing close to this that I've encountered is with Encarta, which has a couple of 3D exploreable places.

My question is: Would it be possible to create an as-close-to-life as possible virtual reality reproduction of a physical place?
Also, are there any such projects out there?

I guess I'd like to see the world without having to get on a plane and go there physically...

It's going to have miniature mechanics, so they need to be someone whoe can work with tiny lathes on hard metals. Doesn't matter of the location.

I'll split the profits 60% - 40% with a contract.

When you don't even step out of your own home or even answer the phone and everything still goes to h*** in a hat basket?
Got an e-mail from a friend (?) that is straight and was informed that she had had a heart attack because of me. Not because I was gay, mind you, but that she had been trying to understand the life style and couldn't. No! I never made a move on her we just would have lunch now and then and go horse backing once in awhile-just friends. The heart attack was real and I am being blamed-terrific!!!

I follow every episode every day on ABC Family at 7 - 8 pm. But it seems that ABC has skipped a few. One episode it was Rory's 21st Birthday and the next she was going back to Yale, I looked online and saw they skipped like two or tree episodes. Did anyone else notice this?

I received an email dated sept 12, 2006 on sept 28, 2006. I have plenty of reason to beleive that the sender did this and not that is was a computer error. The email placed itself numerically as if it was really received on sept 12, but it wasnt. If i open the full header I can see both dates in there but I dont know enough about this to explain or prove when I actually received this message. If anyone can explain this to me I would be greatly appreciated. There is a lawsuit pending and I may have to prove that it was done. Thank you

Imagine you have a bird, flying directly north. The sun is shining directly east (from the west). There is a wall to the east of the bird which runs at an angle so that as the bird flies forward it's perpendicular distance from the wall increases (e.g. running south-west to north east). So, as the bird flies north, it's shadow moves up the wall, going north at exactly the same speed. But because the wall is at an angle, the shadow is actually moving a greater distance than the bird in a set amount of time. So, the shadow is moving faster than the bird by a certain ratio.
Now imagine that (somehow) this bird could travel at nine tenths the speed of light (this is theoretically not impossible according to our current knowledge of physics,). The shadow would therefore be travelling faster than the speed of light.

I know that the explanation for this is that a shadow is not a 'thing', but using this method to send a signal, information could be transferred faster than the speed of light.
