I need a prototype because I want the design to be exact before I submit. If the thing doesn't work at all, and I have to redesign, then the patents will be no good. I am planning on marketing the design through small specialty parts stores like mechanincs and HVAC. My design will be far better and far more efficient than the similar tool already in production.
