With someone who is just like you, or someone who is different, in your relationship? Sometimes, when people argue, i've heard people say that it's because, "they're too much alike." Can you ever be too much alike, and if so, is this a good thing, or is it a disaster waiting to happen?

I've been in a relationship with a married guy for the past 8 years (I'm 36). I also have a daughter with this guy, but, as time flies, I only feel more and more attached to a relationship that isn't giving me anything. i was just wondering is there a point where you are too dilated and not going into labor on your own that a dr will just send you into the hospital and start you on pitocin or break your water? i am about 5cm dilated and feeling cramps but no contractions....my sister in law was recently in the same boat and her dr went ahead and sent her to deliver....i wasnt sure if this was common practice or if every dr is different. i am 39 weeks and sure would love to leave the office today to go have my son. so is there a point they just start you if you get too far dilated without starting labor or will they just keep letting you dilate until the baby's head is hanging out??

everytime my sis goes out w/ her bf..i have to go along because otherwise they are not allowed out, and they are always all over each other.and i feel like a 3rd wheel..how can i tell my sis that i dont wanna go out w/o hurting her feelings plus not have her mad at me (they can only go out if im there)??help im 17 and she is 17..her bf is 18..and i dont have a bf,,,,now maybe i can get more help

I have a child support case with my ex, where I have had to drag him into court to get him to pay. His bitter elderly mother continues to harass me because of this. Like...retaliation. She makes calls against me (INS, DSS, etc). She tried to get a restraining order against me, but couldn't have me served. I don't speak to her, I don't have any contact with her, unless she escorts her son to court for our hearings. Can I actually get a restraining order against her to make her stop???

I'm from California. I entered this question a few weeks ago complaning about all the chattalk the American teens use in stating their questions, and answers. I had the occasion to log onto this website in the wee hours, and found the UK kids dominating the site. The questions were the same like "How do I know he likes me?", "Will she call back?", and "How do I tell my parents I'm in love?". And all the questions had proper punctuation, good grammar, and correct spelling. So lots of kudos to our cousins across the pond, and thumbs down to the American kids who are too lazy to use proper English. u no wht i mean?

I have met sooooo many very cool people on here but there is just one thing that bothers me. Bi and lesbian women who refuse to believe that I am not interested, that I never thought about it and that I'm not the least bit interested. I like talking to people, and never exclude anyone until they keep insisting that I'm something that I'm not. I respect who and what they are and I never say come on you know you've seen a man you wanted or I don't believe you never thought about it. I'm ok with who they are why can't they be ok with who I am?

I am really battling to accept that it may be time to have my miniture maltese put to sleep. She is 15 years old, deaf, and 80% blind. She spends most of her day sleeping, but when it is food time, she really makes a noise and still has a good appetite, even with no teeth. With being quite blind, when we walk past she really gets a fright and shakes like mad. She is fairly happy, just not very active. Am I being selfish. Please help me here. Thanks
