of the outcome?
I'm an African American young lady & date a white guy for about 6 months. When we were together, it was nothing but wonderful.... Unfortunately, he broke up with me (via email) when his parents found out I am African American. In public he was always very affectionate, polite and fun to be with. Once his parents found out (they lived in a different city), he just threw everything away! The first time he declined a gathering, I knew we had problems. Why couldn't he just be "Man" enough to say, I love her & that's it! Why live your life for your parents? They assumed I was living off him, but I have a very nice position with a corporation & my own money!! I never asked him for a dime! His parents refused to see me as an individual, some who loved their son...instead, they choose to see me a "Black" person out to get their son. Tell me, why must it be this way? I'm now afraid to open up my heart and allow it to feel. I've moved on, but can't forget this person!Help.
