Have started swimming not long ago and been swimming 5 days a week for awhile. My body has been in pain since I started swimming. It just doesn't go away. Because of it, I get tired very easily every time I swim. I have to take like a min or two break in every two laps. What should I do? I still can't coordinate my upper and lower body. If I pay more attention on my strokes, then I forget about kicking properly and vice versa.

Swim a bit less often, and give your body a better chance to recover. You are using muscles in a brand new way - may take a while to adjust.

If the problem persists, mention it to the pool people, pr go and see your doctor.

Swimming 5 days a week from nothing will make you sore, but you have to keep going and gradually build your body up to where you can go for however long you need to.

Warm up with stretching exercises out of the water before you swim making sure that you begin sweating. When you swim, reach as far as you can with your arms stretching your muscles and swim slowly and smoothly. Speed in swimming develops from smooth applications of force.

Don't worry-- You'll get used to it. For the first two and a half weeks when I did track, my friend and I had a similar problem. Our legs were filled with UNBEARABLE pain whenever we sat, stood, walked, kneeled, crouched, or pretty much moved them. But we got used to it after we got a four-day break from track. =)

nothing to worry about i think, sounds like mere muscle ache to me! but i know how it can hurt!
try swimmign less, build it up, don't give everything you've got in one go, give your body some time to get used to this new lifestyle (sorry if sounds offensive, i don't mean it that way!), give it time to adjust. it'll grow less and eventually it won't bother you anymore!

If you're tight, you need to stretch more.
