Your question is flawed and similar to asking : "If everyone lies, shouldn't lies be ok?"..

In almost every family there is someone that lies..

We can't justify an action by surveying it as a norm..

Neither can we condemn it by surveying it as out of the norm..

:-)

If by family you mean very extended family, then possibly so, but if you mean every family as in, mother father children, you are far from right.

However, I do not think there is anything wrong with being gay, and I am all for the theory that you are born that way, and that it is not a choice. If it were, why would someone choose to live a lifestyle that is condemned by so many, where they would be hated and denied the most basic rights? I very much doubt they would.

Religious people tend to think they're so much better than everyone else, and that their way is the only way. They will bash, hate on, and persecute anyone who is gay, regardless if it goes against their teachings. They preach and preach to people about love thy neighbor and all that, and then go around hating people because of their sexual preference or some other thing they just don't like.

There will always be haters of everything, no matter what it is, being gay just happens to be among the top reasons to be hated right now.

Funny, too, isn't it? Hard core christian priests aren't allowed to get married. Seems to me they're promoting it... I can't be with a woman, even though it is one of the most basic fundamentals of being a human (Reproduction), so I guess I'll go find something else... ahh, hello alter boy, how are you?

Sad

It's not a problem knowing someone is gay. Because I know a few men and women who are gay. Do I agree with it? No. But it's not my life. But I ask myself the question, what if every single person on earth were gay? What direction the world would go, if at all? I mean no invetro fertilization, no artificial anything?

It's only a problem for those still suffering under the yoke of an oppressive, outdated religious morality which teaches hate for those who are outside the "norm."

Quite frankly if I'm going to get all judgemental about another person, I can think of a thousand qualities more important than their choice of bed buddies to judge them on. Which gender a person prefers to sleep with is none of my business or concern, as it does not affect me in any way.

well there is a study in the psychological field that say's it has some what to do with academia and how educated a person is they did a study of several collages back east and it showed freshmen and sophomores in college were less tolerant of gays and lesbians than Juniors and Seniors. the study went on to say how with in academia there is a certain enlightenment that happens to people making them more accepting of a divers world and more tolerant to those who were different then they are.

sadly...there are a few closed narrow minded people around, who feels that a relationship is not true or real unless it is from different member of the opposite sex. I am amazed that there are a few people who find same sex relationships wrong somehow...how can it be wrong if it makes the 2 people involved so happy and fulfilled?...(i am straight btw..and i can't believe what comes out of peoples mouths when it is something that is different from what they want , have or believe.)

It doesn't matter really how many people are or aren't gay. Basically, there is an issue in this country b/c the separation of church and state is not being properly followed.

Not in my family. But anyway, it is because gay people are evil and should be punished.

Sex is for procreation, you cannot procreate in a same sex relationship. Sodomy is said to be a sin in the Bible. These are a couple of reasons. Also, a mans "seed" is not suppose to touch the ground, the Bible says it is better to lay with a "harlot" then to please yourself. This is only to express views of some, I keep my opinions to myself one way or the other. So please no critisism to me, I meant none toward ANYONE.
