My advice, if you decide to hang out with her and her friends be friendly and kind and joke around alot so those popular ppls notice you and like you. If you choose not to then just make new friends. I don't believe in bffs anymore I had too many of them and moved away from them too often. Best of luck to you!!

let me tell you something. the "popular" kids really are not popular. they are just trend setters in some way, but if you ask around, most of the other kids don't like them. i remember the "popular" girls group from my high school, they were all SO bitchy (and slutty, too) and no one really liked them. but everyone thought that everyone else liked them....does that make sense? hang out with your friend and don't worry about what the other people are saying or doing, and if you get too uncomfortable, find a new set of friends who aren't mean. the "popular" kids usually don't have qualities that you'd want in a real friend anyway.

I wasn't going to touch this one, because I know you want to hang out with them for some reason I don't see, but, trying to hang out with them is a mistake. You said they were mean, why volunteer to 1.) be exposed to that and 2.) allow yourself to act like a little snot

do so, if she is really your friend she will keep the mean people off your back. there is no reason you should not be her friend because of others, a real friend will make sure that you are okay and can hang out.

that is a very tough situation, especially amoung young girls. If I were you I would not even bother to deal with her other friends if they don't give you any respect. Your friend has the right to be friends with who she wishes, don't try to force her mind. But YOU then have the right to not associate with people who are stuckup and snotty.
