I have read an articles where some solders say they don't feel as safe because if they are shot they don't think a 5'6 125lb woman can carry them to saftey. This is not an attack on women I just your want opinions.

OK I am 14 and homeschooled. I just found out I have four nuts. I have 2 sacks 2 of the nuts are separate in one sack in the other sack the nuts are joined I only want two is there sugery I can go through or what???

I am supposed to take 5 miligrams and the pharmacy gave me 100 miligrams, i noticed because the pills were so much larger than my normal pills. i did not take them. The Pharmacy is a state pharmacy. i guess i just need some feedback as to maybe hypethitically if i had taken it would it have stopped my heart? and shouldn't somebody be more responsible than to make such a huge mistake? thanks for any input.

Of course different langauges have their own phrase/word for calling mother but "ma ma" (or similar) is nearly always the first one that is known to a young child. From a scientific point of view, could it be something to do with the ease of using the "m" sound? Or could it be a cultural influence, such as of a more popular language?

Some of my really good friends and I went to change in the school's (all-girls) toilet after a workout as usual. A few of them started changing outside the cubicles and asked me to join them because they were "curious to see how I looked". I was quite embarrassed and declined but after I came out they seemed a bit angry with me. What should I do the next time they ask me the same thing, or will they avoid me just because of this?

Its based on measuring resistance of skin .... the skin resistance goes down due to increase in moisture when one sweats while lying. But its not going to work for false or non-serious lies. Will it work when, say, we wet the skin using water or something ??? I'm only doing this for a high school project ... so that much will be enough.

Hi I'm hopefully going to study english at university next year, as another choice of course on my application I was considering english with philosophy, philosophy has always intrigued me & I've always been a very deep thinker, I know I would enjoy studying it & I know thinking about prospective employment is rather antithetic to the whole philosophy ideal. But, would a philosophy degree imediately turn employers off? It was a very real consideration until my lovely b/f decided to tell me the joke 'What is the one question philosophy students ask after graduation, do you want fries with that?' Unfunny & unsupportive I know but there does seem to be a stigma attached to philosophy degrees, I know in an ideal world we should persue the subjects that give us the greatest personal fulfillment, however, with the vast student loans we have to contend with in the U.K the career prospects have to be considered. Do philosophy degrees close doors, any advice?
