at basketball?
The children are only 7 and 9, but I think they need to learn how to lose just as well as win.

Well... maybe you should let them win sometimes. See, I know my dad can whoop my *** in basketball, and any other sport for that matter (and i'm pretty good) but i've beat him a few times. And, even though i know he let me, it felt so good to run in the house and tell my mom "I beat dad." It can be kinda crushing to never win.

I think you should let them win sometimes too. Still beat them(only in games), but let them win too. It helps with their self-esteem. If you beat them all the time then they wont ever learn that they are good people who can actually do something. If they lose all the time they will think that they suck. They will start to learn that winning is evrything and start to try harder and harder until it is their only goal. Let them win sometimes too.

Yes they do need to learn how to lose. But let them win once in a while. doesnt hurt and makes em happy

well i believe it is healthy to have them lose once in a while. In life they will not always be winners so showing them now is a great thing. You seem to be a good mom who wants the best for their children...........keep up the great work!

I think as long as you let them win sometimes, and don't rub it in their faces when they lose, then it's okay! It's all in good fun.
