through out the 1800. european christians used the fact that the bible did not say anything about the native americans to justify slaughtering women and children. they surmized that since the bible never mentioned these people they must be the children of demons and not real people. since these red skinned devils where the spawn of satan and his demons, they felt it was not only justifiable to kill these great people but to steal their land.

can you think of any other instance when religion was used to justify genocide in the name of greed?

It seems that their medical staff don't have it. It seems that way because of how many doctors treat the patients, and ask them questions that if they did have it, they would clearly know the answer to. Questions like, if you have anal warts, they ask, "are you gay"? If they or they're staff had hpv and had that, they would clearly know the answer to that...which the answer is clearly it has nothing to do with your sexuality.

Seems the whole "oh don't worry, it's a common disease" speech is their poor way of trying to give you comfort. Do they say that about AIDS too? "Oh you have aids, but don't worry, it's common". As if that makes everything better! It almost seems like what they're really saying is, "diseases like HPV is common, but only common among foolish people, not us educated doctors".

May be I'm just irritated, I apologise for that. What do you think about this? It seems pretty unfair, and false.

I'm interested in genuine answers from Muslim women (including prospective converts). No mischief-mongers please!

I want to know how you 'feel' about this cardinal principle of Islam. Don't you 'feel' it is incongruous in today's age?

Considering the fact that you're happily married and a situation has arisen which perfectly warrants a second marriage for your husband; what would be your reaction?

In case you're unmarried, how would you 'feel' if your would-be husband happens to be a strong advocate of Islamic polygamy?

I WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH FROM YOU!!!

A form that allows them to go into our Visa records, and all of our past lives... They say it's because in 1999 we had a loss and reported a pair of reading glasses missing, and now we had another pair missing when our car was broken into in 2006...
In Oregon, there is a proposition on the ballot that says poor people are often given this ultimatum, and that it should be illegal for insurance companies to go on "fishing" expeditions in order to decline payment..
What are my options? Do I have to sign this form in order to have my stolen items replaced? I hate being victimized by my own insurance company, and this feels like a bad thing to allow them?
Is there an attorney out there who can speak on this subject? What can I do?

The couple is footing most of the wedding bill, but the Brides Mom (and family) is helping a little financially. Grooms family not even offering to help in any way (He's the "black sheep" of three siblings). We'd like to include Brides family in the invitation wording, but don't know how to make it sound proper, without insult to Grooms family.

My husband of 5 yrs cheated on me while I was pregnant with our child. I forgave him because I wanted us to be a family. He has been emotionally and even physically abusive at times. I just found out that he didn't end the affair when he said he did - although all this happened 3 yrs ago, I feel hurt all over again. The trust and respect is gone. I'm torn and don't know what to do. Being a single parent sounds scary to me. My son loves my husband dearly and I want him to be happy....I'm afraid that if I stay I will never love him the same again.
