I met what you'd describe as quite a 'pushy' person whilst I was temping about 2 years ago. We both still temp, but never in the same workplace (apart from when I met her 2 years ago).

We keep in touch by email, texts and the odd ansaphone message (as we live far from each other). I've been out with her 3 times in 2 years, but it's very hard to meet up as we sometimes can't always agree on a date/time (as we may have other committments). She asked me to meet up next week to see a show, but I can't make it for then. The latest is she left a message on my mobile saying, "I really can't see why we can't meet up now and again instead of just doing these silly little emails, texts and messages".

She has a pushy personality and when I do meet up with her the whole conversation is about her and she interrupts when I talk. I really don't think there's anything wrong with communicating in this way (as mentioned above). What do you think?

A christian friend of mine (16 years as friends) made the comment that it would seem the most pleasant christians dont really believe the bible all that much. Which is a bit confusing for him. He doesnt know I am an atheist yet. (he thinks I am just 'backslidden' christian)
The more they study and believe the more unpleasant they become. Thats a theory I have, what do you reckon.

now sure, one can argue that a console is better for gaming but what does it really give, and what has it given in the past?

historically consols have thrived because computers were just too expencive. also people were able to just plug and play.

now consoles are losing the price edge on PC's with the nex-gen systems and whatnot. it seems the PS3 and 360 are more of a computer than a gaming console. so why are we still shafting ourselves by buying machines that have really only one purpose, play games, when we could open up ourselves to a much broader spectrum by utilizing a computer?

you could say... well consoles have the controlers, well i still havn't come across an applianc eor electronic gizmo that can't be used with a USB port lol. so that argument is out the door.

i guess the only thing consoles really have is the couple hundred dollars off the price...
PC give you more imput/controlling options for games and more functionality

My ex boyfriend and I broke up a month ago. He wanted nothing to do with me. I just found out I was pregnant by him and now he is saying he wants to get back together and be here for the baby which is awesome but I feel that is the only reason why he is wanting me back now. I already have a child who is two by my ex husband and I dont think I can raise another child on my own. I just dont have the money Im barely making it as it is. i used protection because I wasnt ready for another baby but as you know, it didint work. Im scared and dont know what to do. I thought about abortion which I dont agree with but I dont know if i will have a choice. If I knew my ex was serious about getting back together I think we would be fine but I dont want him to just do that because I am pregnant now with his child, I would want him to because thats what he really wants and isnt going to just do it because he feels its the right thing to do. Could he want me back not just because of the baby?

She meows incessantly to go outside all day. This has gone on for months. I take her out for a few minutes and when I return her, she tries to bite off a piece of me. I am not a Christian though I have conversations about Christianity regularly with "believers" of all types. When ever there arises an occasion when I get onto these Christians for not giving me a reasonable answer to a question they say things like, "You are blind," "If only you had the eyes to see," or "I am going to pray to ask god to open your eyes to the truth." This use to bother me until I was reading John and found out what Jesus said about those who are blind:

Jhn 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

What do you guys, Christian and non-Christian, think of this verse?

...this coming December. My usual route of Manila-Tokyo-NYC(JFK) via Northwest Airlines is no longer active. Can anyone recommend a good flight & airline flying from Manila to NYC? Requirements include:

1) Direct flight to NYC. Asian gateway can be anywhere, but I prefer to not fly domestically within the US.
2) Price. Will likely be flying economy.
3) Inflight entertainment options. I'd prefer a flight that offers personal entertainment (personal viewing screen/games/etc)
4) As direct a flight as possible. I hate layovers.

I'll be doing research myself, but if anyone has any suggestions, especially from personal experience, and they look good, I'll give you the 10pts.
