Mac Dre started it...and it wasnt devil horns. It was the "I love you" sign. Those who dont know the origin started throwing up devil horns instead.

I suspect that rappers are identifying with the emotion behind the symbolism that is the "devils horns" and not with the fact that it is synonyms with heavy metal.
I see it as rap respecting metal the way it should be lmao!

Don't really know. But if you research you'll discover that the 'Devil horns' is actually an older symbol (I believe Italian) that was supposed to ward off the evil eye
