If you are not in love with him - why do you want to have a baby with him. If you have a baby with him - he will have legal rights to the child. Why not get artificially inseminated - and avoid complications. Better yet - why don't you give it a little more time - you may meet someone in the next year - that you truly love!

no, you arent running out of time. you still have about 6 years. make sure you are doing it out of love and because you BOTH want kids. another thing to keep in mind is that having kids isnt for everyone. though you may believe that the perfect family is a husband and wife with their children, you dont HAVE to have kids to be happy. if I were you and not sure about having children, try getting a dog(temporary, in case you decide its not a good idea), maybe just dog sitting for a friend or family member. dogs are a lot like kids in that they take so much attention and cost so much etc... good luck and I think you should wait.

You can't just do that to have a baby I mean you can but it's not fair to the baby if something was to go wrong between the two of you or maybe it will work out. You need to sit with your b/f and find out what he thinks about the situation.

well my best friend always wanted to have a child however she wasn't involved with anyone. she is 33 and just had a baby boy and is thrilled she is doing it on her own and it is tough but worth every second of it. so i say go for it if that is what is in your heart and what you want for your future. if your boyfriend is a keeper then great if not then you need to decide whether this is something you want to do on your own for now.

Just get a sperm donor. If you have a child with this man, he'll be in your life long term through your child. He will have paternal rights. Honestly though, is not having children so bad??

well if you want my opinion and I'm assuming you do cuz you asked. if you are ready emotionally and financially and you are sure your ready. if your prepared to raise your child alone and be a single mother then i don't see a problem with it. you just have to know that your ready and your able and not just doing it because your afraid its now or never then go for it. now or never isn't a good reason to have a baby though.

Don't think of it from your point of view, but from the point of view of the "child's"! Recommend you get yourself a pet dog instead.
