All religions basically teach peace. Love your neighbor, worship god, be good to others. That sort of crap.

Now, I find this very interesting as you can look back to a lot of the major conflicts of the world and see that that they were usually motivated by land, power, and religion. I put those things in that order because the land and power is usually what the war is REALLY about. The sad thing is that the leaders use religion as the major reason to have their followers fight, i.e. the Crusades, the Jewish/Muslim conflicts, Bosnian and Serbian conflicts, etc.

The leaders present the war as 'God's will' and they use words for their enemies such as savages, infidels, non-believers. These words dehumanize enemies and makes the bad things you do to them seem to be fine with God. 'You aren't killing a human.. you're killing an infidel!'

My question is this. If religion is supposed to be teaching peace, why does it condone the poor treatment of those who do not believe?

That modern day religions are based on believable facts?

Are they better than old religions like the ones the ancient Greeks and Romans believed in?

Did every person that ever lived before Jebus/Allah/Whatever go to a supposed bad place like hell?

Do the majority of people in the world go to hell since there is no one religion that dominates the entire world? Would the loving and understanding god that is described in most modern religions let something like this happen?

Was religion initially created to explain the things people could not explain before technologies came along?

I recently bounced a check to a retail store. The check was put through again and cleared. 2 days ago, I received a letter saying I owed $25 for the NSF fee to the retail place. Today, the collection company put through a false check for the $25. Is this legal?

Some of these lunatics believe the Messiah will only arrive when Israel rids itself of the Palestinian presence. In fact, Many Israeli peacniks are so embarrassed by their ideology that they tend to treat them as if they're foaming at the mouth. Unfortunately, the majority of those living in illegal settlements are staunch supporters of 'racial purity', and take every opportunity to make the lives of the indigenous population unbearable.

A woman was helping her husband set up his computer, and at a point in the process, told him that he would now need to enter a password. Something he will use to log on.

The husband was in a rather amorous mood and figured he would try for the shock effect to bring this to his wife's attention.

So, when the computer asked him 2 enter his password, he made it obvious to his wife that he was keying in.+PENIS+

His wife fell off her chair laughing when the computer replied:

"PASSWORD NOT LONG ENOUGH"

African Americans were portrayed last night as lazy (needing to take a lot of breaks), mentally defficient (couldn't figure out simple puzzles), and chauvanistic (only men made the major decision of choosing who to send to exile island).

That is as horrible a portrayal as it gets. A number of negative stereotypes were reinforced. I know that most other ethnic groups were also dragged through the stereotype mud as well, but it seemed especially egregious with the African American group.

Did the editors manipulate the editing to accentuate the black stereotypes? Or was it a simple documentation of how the black group reacted in key situations?

I'm a 38 yr.old male who has worked out ,off and on(mostly off) since I was 19.I started back into it full time with the intention of putting on some serious muscle about 1 1/2 years ago and made decent gains at first, but have been stuck for about 8 months now, especially arms.I have tried hitting them twice a week, once a week,6-8 reps,8-10 reps, supersets, with chest and back,by themselves, only 3 sets a once a week, protein powder, you name it- I've pretty much tried it,but I'm always willing to listen to new ideas.Any tips?I'm not very big-about 5'10 172 lbs.with only 15" arms and have always been a hard gainer. My metabolism is crazy and even at 38 I have no problem staying lean and ripped......any ideas would be appreciated

I had felt a strong sense of loss when Powell was pushed out of the inner circle in the white house. He is very bright and has excellent analytical abilities.

So great to see him up there challenging the president. Where has he been for so long?
