i think i would definitely take immortality if it was offered to me. i love learning and i would just learn everything about everything ever. and i understand that one day everyone i know will die, so i guess that will be a bummer, but i can't do anything about that anyway.

i'd learn every language, and every economic resource so that i would have a wide variety of talents. i'd also learn every musical instrument, and make classical musical peices, and i would think of social reforms to make the world better. plus learning all those things would take a very long time so i guess i'll have plenty of it right. o man if i was immortal i would do a lot of good, but i guess since im not i'll just have to do everything i can while im still here. great question by the way.

No way - life is fun, but I wouldn't wanna do it forever. You would constantly have people you love die - that's not much fun. Plus the stages of life are great: When you are a baby, you can sh!t wherever you want; as a child you can play all the time; when you become an adult you can have as much fun as you want; and when you are old you can annoy everyone by pretending to be deaf! Immortality - sod that!

That would be cool... cuz it would be like the Vampire and werewolf dad in the movie underworld!

hm... in reality... it depends... cuz if i live very very long... my retirement savings are gonna run out.... which means... i can only semi-retire since later i'd have to earn some money so i can go on trips, food, relationships.... etc.. oh... maybe plastic surgery... if i'm kept alive but my face still continues to age throughout time... (wudn't wanna imagine) and i might be a very lonely person (if no one else but me is immortal), less i can keep up my enthusiasm for years to come and keep making new friends who i end up always the attendee of the funeral (sad).

hm... but if everyone is immortal like me... i get to spend all the time i want with them and knowingly know that there will always be another time i could spend with them.... never need to worry about death doing us apart. i'd even get to see my great grand grand grand GRAAANDD children.. and have one of those awesome big family dinners and only struggle just to try to blow off the millions of candles on my birthday cake all at once!... but then if everyone lives forever, it is gonna end up as a global problem... if everyone still want to have kids. Govt will need to spend more money.. and they Gonna come up with a new type of tax! maybe "living tax" :P to generate more revenue... and by then.. earth will not be able to contain all of us and we gonna have to start living in bubble-shaped apartments in space.. orbiting around earth so we can have some berries and fruit send to us with rocket-ridders delivery boy.

Complicated... pros and cons like any other matter in life.
but i'd love to be an immortal if there's a chance :)

as cool as it sounds i dont think i would because if you are immortal that means that you have to watch all the poeople you love and care about die... how awful is that! i mean isn some ways it would be way cool but being immortal almost takes the zest out of life because you know your going to be around forever so you dont live life for the moment.

I am already immortal. I just use the guise of mortality to bring happiness to those who have not yet realised their own immortality .

No, how could u!? death is the ultimate thing and nature has its way of making every one equal at the end, thru death, it also leaves the future generations on the planet with no ties to change and move forward.
Could you honestly imagine being 1000000 millions billion years old? if the planet lasts that long.

No, unless I could guarantee being well again, immortality with the pain I'm currently in, would be purgatory.
