To make a long story short, I was dating a married man. I had a conversation with his wife and she told me that they were over and done with. He and I kept seeing eachother and she knew about it.One day this guy told me that he wanted take things to the next level that is, until his wife asked him for a second chance even though she has been a bad wife (which she admitted to me) and cheated on him. It's been about 4 months that I don't talk to him and I want to get in touch with him at least as friends. Does anybody think that she deserved a second chance? After all the things that she did?

A serious question. For plants that have become edible over time through cultivation (like the potato), and plants that have parts that are poisonous connected to the non-poisonous parts (like rhubarb), how did our ancestors figure out that things like potatoes and rhubarb were edible, or would eventually be edible? It couldn't be simply trial and error (seriously, how many people would seriously knowingly subject themselves to eating something that just killed someone else?). Could a food scientist or anthropologist shed some light on this?

My ex gf is confusing me, after our breakup she still wanted to be friends(of course I knew this would be difficult because I still have feelings for her).Our relationship didn't work out because it was long-distance(she's in W.coast I'm in E.coast), I will be here for one more year, then head back over to W.coast.She tells me she wants to keep me in her life, because she loves and cares for me like no one else.She's from Vegas and a bit of a party girl...she says that she's just having a lot of fun right now, but who knows what may happen in the future between us.From what I've heard she's been "around", and doesn't even care about anything right now.I'm the complete opposite of her, and she knows how much I truly love and care for her.I always ask her to tell me the truth with how she feels, but then she always gets mad when I ask. So now, we don't talk much and the only time she bothers is when she's feeling sad or lonely.I can't tell if deep down she really loves me or is using me?

My ex died recently which we had a daughter together, he never done anything for her so he went to jail and died in jail from natural causes. I didn't get to say anything to him or see before he died, is there any hope for me. I know he is gone on to a better place but what can I do now, I feel so guilty inside and my heart hurts so bad because I didn't try to work something out with him. Is there anything I can do will he hear me if I talk to him, I am a hurt confused person right now and i need advices on what to do? I feel that part of this is my fault. This absolutely drives me crazy! I don't understand why the people that take/took the time to teach people (including these athletes) get so little pay?! I believe that if people can get paid millions to be in a sport than the people that dedicate their lives to teaching our children should be paid greatly too. Don't get me wrong I love my sports and school sucked at times. However, I believe that school is very important. Sure, sports is too but why so little for the people that do so much more?
