You know the type. They don't read books- in fact, they see it as a waste of time. They think the purpose of art is to match your couch, and even then is only worth purchasing if it is on sale at Target. They are conservative (kind of goes with the territory.) They basically see any intellectual or artistic endeavor as a complete waste of time. Time better spent working and making money. I just can't bear to be around them as there is nothing interesting to talk about. Any advice?

After the massacre at little big horn, Gen. Custers father wanted something to memorialize him. so he decided to have a portrait painted of his brave son.
He spent months looking for just the right artist to capture his son's last thoughts. after a few months he returned to artists home
and was happy to find the artist was satisfied that he had caputured the moment, the artist led the father into another room.. There on the wall was a huge mural, it showed a beautiful valley surrounded by hills,, the sun shown brightly down into the valley, and standing on the hills were cows, and all of the cows had halo's above their heads, and on ther valley floor there hundreds of Indians that looked like they were having sex, the father said "What is this about"?.. and the artist said: I figured when he came over the hill . he said "Holy cow, look at all those f**king Indians. "

The brother of a close friend of mines mother in law recently passed away (appx 3 weeks ago) she gave a card and I did not. I wish that I had sent one a couple of weeks ago but I will give one this week. I have not spoken to them since I heard and want to express my condolence. Is there an appropriate time to send a card regarding someones loss, and should there even be a date put on? It seems like a stupid question to ask but I want to be sensitive and proper. Thank you for any advice.

we have a dog and that dog belongs to one member of the family and he is closest to that person.
when she goes out, the dog often goes into her room and chews on her mattress. he has already ruined one mattress. we try to keep him out but he usually manages to get back in eventually.
my question is, why does he chew this one person's mattress and not anyone else's? he loves her the best by far.

what's the movie where its summertime and some teenagers go to a lake. there's a doc out in the middle of the lake, and they swim out to it ok... then this huge puddle of black goo oil stuff floats around killing people who jump in the lake where the goo floats over to, it was cheesy iknow, do you know what it is?

We bought a home 3 years ago and are trying to make changes to add appraisal value to our home. We have a inground pool, 4 acres, Nice house.

When we moved in there wasn't much landscaping that had been done, so we added 30 6 foot trees. At a point right now where we would like to use our money and time wisely. Need to know the best thing to increase the property value. We have 3 baths 4 bedrooms, all new appliances, unfinished basement.

Hp to weight ratio?

Torque to weight ratio?

I raced a vehicle the same mass as mine, he had 235 pounds of torque, but 170 Hp, while on the other hand, I had only 188 pounds of torque with 190 Hp and his vehicle smoked mine.

I can do 120 mph and he can only do 80. Thats the catch. Which comparision do I use to compare the power to weight ratio? Mine beat his for the first sec, then he swiftly passed me and kept going. We are both automatics.

Please don't go into gearing, we were in our 2-3 gears (on drive) and he is the quicker one. It had something to do with torque. Thanks.

I have a '96 sentra and am trying to remove the battery, but the nut on the positive terminal is stripped and seems almost to be fused to the bolt. I've already tried cleaning the terminals and oiling the nut and bolt, but the thing still won't turn. What do I do now?
