My skin is on the oily side, so when I do wear make up (not very often), it tends to melt away and disappear within a short time of applying it

I'm not claiming to be a makeup expert, but maybe you can try different textures of makeup, like whipped or matte-finish. Anyone else can feel free to help me out here...

I live in Biloxi,MS...and my make up melts NO matter what I use because of the humidity and it sucks...BUT...I have found that the airbrush foundation works extremely well(better than any other) You can find it really any where, like walmart or at any department stores and they come in all different brands. Just use a sponge and make sure you wet it before spraying the foundation on it....AND you don't have to use as much because it has great coverage

try philosophy supernatural airbrushed canvas make up. love, love, love it. it is a VERY fine mineral type product only its way, super way better than bare escentuals. that stuff is awful.

good luck!

Use MAC make up its expensive but worth it. They have this spray that you spray on your face after you do your make up and it helps to keep it on.

don't use liquid, a powder would probably work best, but a matte mousse would be good also.
