Kudos to your wording. The implication that actors/actresses are EITHER attractive OR talented is spot on. I only wish talent was a prerequisite in today's entertainment.

I think that you can actually make it if you have talent. I am not saying you will make it big, but an unattractive actor/actress can act if they have talent. Just look at some of the actors out there now.

There are actresses and actors that are not really acttractive. They exist because they have talents that they can show to the people. If you are only pretty or attactive but don't have talents, then how can you be an actor or an actress if you know nothing to do?

One reason I love BBC television is because most of the shows have actors/actresses who look like everyday people.....and they are very talented.

Also if you look at a lot of the actors/actresses on Broadway they're not exactly "beautiful"....but again they're very talented.

There are 6000000000 people to choose for any acting job.
Looks will determine who, of the last 10 chosen, equaly talented people, gets the job.
You can be talented alone, but you would have to be 10 times more talented just to get through the first screening.

You need to be attractive to get in the door, usually. But without talent, unless you are a knockout, you are not likely to stay.

Talent helps in longevity. Being attractive helps in getting more parts but your stay will be short. Both together ensures success.
