I also have a niece that is 7 and is in 1st grade, last week she got 11 wrong and 0 right on the test that to know what the words are she couldn't say any of the words. My sister said that she went over the words but my niece is still not learning the words and any ideas to teach her. My sister said she had her write the words down,say the words but she is jnot doing good on saying what the words are and she is been getting low scores on the oral words to look at the words and she can't say the words. I am afraid she will get behind more if she doesn't get the help she needs now and i don't want her to get so behind that she will not be at the level the other kids are at, that is what my family said.

What age or grade do teachers say that a child needs to be tested if they have any special needs? I am just wondering.

My boyfriend say he we,ll take me away for a weekend, i picked the place, we already sorted it out he said he would ring and book it, but i had told him id pay he said no he will, but he hasnt done anything about it yet its been two weeks now. also three weeks ago he said im gonna get you something nice, i asked for my fave parfume he never got it so i got it myself. still has'nt gotten me anything just buys himself stuff all the time. i dont care that he doesnt buy me things, i just feel let down when he says he will but doesnt. is he just being a lad, typical guy, r does he not give a **** bout me?

When we bought him the breeder had struggled to get him weaned away from his mother. The only thing he would eat was freshly cooked chicken. Now he won't eat anything else! He does drink cat milk, so is getting calcium, but his diet (apart from being expensive) is not good for him long-term. Obviously, starving him is out of the question because cats will starve themselves to death. Any suggestions?

In the Christian faith, one of the virtues is gentleness. How can we show gentleness in our lives and our walk with God? The same goes for peace. I'm not talking about what you expect out of others, but in your own life, how do you show gentleness and peace?

For those of other beliefs, what is your opinion about gentleness and peace and how would you exemplify it?

I have a aniversery coming up on the 27th, for the last few years I have been not saying a thing beforehand and getting a bouquet to her place of employment before she gets there and taking her out for dinner in the evening and it has been just fine however it has kind of settled into a routine and I need a fresh idea for something unexpected I can do. Here's my situation. I teach flute lessons, usually through the high school band program. I interviewed exactly 2 weeks back. The interview went well. I was even told I was the top candidate. However, I have heard nothing since. About 3 days after the interview, I emailed the thank you / follow up letter, and heard nothing back. After a bit over a week had passed, I called and the director said they had not made a decision yet, but that it would be very soon. Another week has passed. I didn't want to bug him with a phone call, but I DID send another, "I'm still very interested in the job" email, with no response.

I'm paranoid because during the interview, he told me about a couple of candidates that were NOT a match for them, and said he was just going to "not call them back".

I think that's rude! A rejection letter is at least appropriate.

Should I call the guy again? Any suggestions?
(Useful ones, NOT just smart a** comments please.)

well....most ladies are striving at being extra THIN so as to impress the guys..and I was actually thinking of heading in the same direction myself.....the thing is that I kinda...aammmm...no I actually like the idea that when I walk pass thru a number of guys they all turn back and take a look at my ***.....and I fear that if Ioose my *** ........well I wont be getting any glances from men......
and dont tell me that its the inside person that matters and not the outside appearance.......its jas that, most of the time a guy is attracted to the outside before he gets to know the inside........ryt?so guys help me out here.....
