If you guys could get the day off or part of the day off -that would be great. If not, still do the flowers at the job part because that's a beautiful touch, she looks forward to it and she'll be disappointed if you don't. But instead of taking her out to dinner-do something different. My ideas include booking a room/suite at a nice hotel that has a hot tub, swimming pool etc. Or you could do what my husband did-get her a nice deluxe jet action pedicure foot bath , A teddy bear holding some flowers and a ring box/jewelery box with red and white ribbons that say "I love you" on it. A day or half day at a spa (most hotels have day spas -which are open to the public- not just guests-which have packages from one hour massage and one hour manicure and pedicure and up (the prices are more reasonable than you would think), You can get a three hour package from about 200 dollars and that includes a snack. eg tea and muffins lol . Another idea I have is to get her a ring or pendant with your families birthstones-yours, hers, the kids. Or get a locket in the shape of a heart with a picture of the family or both of you (or both) inside. Make sure you have her favourite music playing in the background -no matter what you decide. Here are some links to day spas in St. Louis Missouri. Normally you can pay online with your credit card (or in person at the spa) and you'll get a code and you book the appointment time ahead of time-several days in advance is best to ensure you get the time slot you want! :-) http://www.google.com/maps?hl=en&lr=&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2006-03,GGLG:en&q=day+spa&near=St+Louis,+MO&sa=X&oi=local&ct=title
BTW SPAS offer his and her packages where you are both being massaged in the same room. I would suggest you go with her-she will enjoy that more. The tenth Anniversary is a big one-make it good!! Happy Anniversary you two!! ☺ P.S. Check the link-it's tied to google maps so it shows you the exact location of the spas, hopefully there's one near to you!!

Happy Anniversary Tom on the 27th that is. The flowers are always a nice, expected thing to do but instead of flowers at work what about if you sent her a clue to work. One that will get her to the house and when she opens the door have a path of rose petals that lead to the next clue. Which leads to the next clue, which always leads to more rose petals and you:)
Whether it be a romantic dinner awaiting her or a bubble bath with candles around the tub or you, naked on the bed. The clues thing is kinda neat.
You may also leave champagne at one of the clues or some nice lingerie or a card....Whatever you think she would like.
A silk blindfold and some oils or flavored gels or ice would be a nice topper to the bedroom spot.
Hey, hope you figure out the greatest night ever sweets.

If you have accumlated time or some vacation left, maybe you could book an afternoon off for both of you (talk with her boss ... these things normally can be worked out). Show up at her place of work with the flowers (her jaw will certainly drop to see you) and take her out for a very long, relaxed lunch instead of your traditional supper date. The kids would be taken care of anyway for your evening date if you stick with your tradition, and you will then have the evening free to oh ... say ... run a bath, light some candles, give her a massage ... ;->
I think your whisking her out of her workplace unexpectedly and just spending time with her, no matter what you do, will be all your lady will need to put a smile on her face for your anniversary.
Have fun and Happy Anniversary!

Billboard along her normal driving route to work, "Honey I love you more now than the day we first met...Happy Anniversary." Another would be to take her for that little 'walk' at the appointed time and have an airplane toting a banner-"Happy Anniversary" -do a fly by. How about singing telegram at work or home. How about an original poem. How about a night on the town to see a ball game or WWF. Possibilities are endless Tom, and by the way Happy Anniversary.

Leave her stewing in the morning when she gets to work and see's nothing there. Turn up later in the day and with a big bouquet of 27 balloons and serenade her the worse you sing, the (naturally) the more memorable it will be, and it will make her melt. In the evening, weather permitting, take her on a moonlight picnic somewhere romantic. Buy her something awsome, a keepsake of some kind that she will treasure.

Still do the flowers...that is always a good touch
If you can get away from the kids that night...and if it is possible recreate your first date...if not and you can get the kids out of the house...get home early and clean up the house...make a romantic dinner with candlelight...use some of the rose petals and make trails leading from the door to table...from the table to the bedroom...where you already have plenty of candles for a very romantic evening.

the day 27th begins at 12.00 am , i mean night of 26th, so instead of getting a bouquet , at her place of work, change the time table, make a bed of flower and surprise her with all the love u ve stored for her and i am sure no gift in the world can compensate love

Get home early with some great take-out. Buy some candles, put a tablecloth out with some candles, get a bottle of wine, put on some soothing jazz. She'll come home and you can have a romantic dinner and evening at home.

Me and my husband just had our anniverssary and because he worked a lot of hours and I'm with our son all day, we decided a quick get away "in town" because it's still hard for me to far away from my son. we live in Las Vegas so we booked a suite at the strip and went to anice restaurant and saw a show.
Last year we went Mesquite which was only an hour drive from Vegas and did the same thing booking a room at Casablanca hotel and had spa treatment.
Continue doing the flowers thing becaue that became like a tradition for you and her but make it a night just for you and Mrs. if you have kids send them to grandma for the night even if it's just a nice stay at home theme with dinner that you prepare with candles and music and rent a movie, she will absolutely love if because it came from the heart.
