Im not saying that America is perfect, but America is the most giving country on the face of earth. America helps so many nations and yet people continually tell us how "evil" and selfish we are. So suppose America vanished. Would the world be a better place? Personally I think not since other countries would fight trying to take the place of America as the world superpower. Suppose Iran won that fight, how would the world like having a country like that in power??

The fact that I've posed this question partially answers that question.
Never in the history of heavyweight boxing has their been a faster, more explosive fighter, with punching power second only to George Foreman's, in my opinion.

For a while it looked like he was a lock as an all time great, but who could have known back in '90, as he readied himself for Buster Douglas, that over the course of the next fifteen years, Tyson would only win another THIRTEEN fights.
And that against guys like Bruce Seldon, Francois Botha, Lou Savarese and Brian Nielsen. That's four of thirteen.

Tyson's much vaunted power really only worked against guys who were beaten before they threw a shot and his true character was revealed when he perpetrated what must be the most savage foul in the history of sport against Holyfield.
It was a cowardly way of quitting, to prevent the coming KO - as evidenced by his histrionics in the ring afterwards and his sob story about getting head butted.

i have seen loads of people using quite good english to ask questions - sometimes better than 1st language users who use bizzare slang - and they often get really sarcastic answers taking the p**s out of their grammar. is it just me that finds it sad that all the people out there that only use english think they are sooooooo clever?????

If I said I believed life is actually a big computer program like a giant video game, in which we are just characters, made by an advanced alien race, someone would ask why I beleived that. If I said I believed it because I had faith in it, I'd probably be thought of as crazy. My faith-based belief would be an irrational assumption or delusion. And it definitely be a hard sell to convince people that I was right.

Of course, my example is a bit ridiculous. But when I've questioned religious people, it seems that the reasons for their beliefs usually boil down to faith as well. And they seem to take pride in that. When put in a religious context, why is faith-based thinking seen often as okay or even praiseworthy? Why the paradigm shift?

Just so its a legal question and not a happy rave...

Have you tried the Gentle Leader?
