Im not saying that America is perfect, but America is the most giving country on the face of earth. America helps so many nations and yet people continually tell us how "evil" and selfish we are. So suppose America vanished. Would the world be a better place? Personally I think not since other countries would fight trying to take the place of America as the world superpower. Suppose Iran won that fight, how would the world like having a country like that in power??

Well, the United States ARE kind of selfish. Not evil (that's too strong), but selfish. When you really think about it and look into it, everything the US do they do because it is in some way in their own favor. They don't do it out of care for others. They'll make sure to make it look like they're doing it for others (propaganda has long been one of their main hobbies), but that's not the real reason why they do it.

I'll give you a recent example. Afghanistan. For years the world asked the USA to help the people who were living under oppression and a horrible lack of rights and freedom. People felt the USA was the country that was most likely to be able to help. The USA didn't care. Then a bunch of terrorist attacked the USA and it turned out the organizers were in Afghanistan and that the Afghani government would rather help the terrorists than catch them. So the USA went to war in Afghanistan, but claimed they were doing it "to free the people from the oppressors." Yeah right.

The majority of the "help" is done for selfish purposes. I've gone through both history and info on recent "help" and in nearly all cases did I see how the apparant help was done because it was good for the USA and I've seen how they refused help when they had nothing to gain by helping.

They "help" to gain support and power. They're also well known for doing what they want, not what is right, which is why some people dislike them.

You're surprised people call you evil because you help. Let me tell you something. Even if the USA did help for selfless purposes, that still wouldn't justify the bad things they do. You can't justify an illegal war and killing innocent people and breaking human rights by handing out food and medicines to others. It doesn't work that way. Bad deeds will still be bad deeds.

Don't get me wrong, not everything about the USA is bad. I'm just explaining why people say America is selfish and bad despite good deeds.

"but America is the most giving"??? That's what they try to show you but the truth is America tries to conquer the whole world.

If America Vanishes, then the World would still be the same. It's not America. It's the people who rules America.

I think every country, including America, has it's negative problems, but I think I'd rather live here than in a place were either women have no rights, or children get blasted by everyday missiles, or their is a lack of opportinuty to make something good out of yourself.

I think if America didn't exist, there'd be a lot more anarchy.

If you mean United States by saying America, excuse me but I'm afraid I will have to remember all of you, that America it's a group of countries, I mean a hall CONTINENT, THE AMERICAN CONTINENT!!! if you know what I mean. That's the beginning of your selfish attitude. I'm sorry but yes, it would be a better place. And of course by this I don´t mean I would like it to disappear, not at all. I just would've liked more respect ,historically speaking to the rest of the planet and the human kind. Keep your help to yourselves, if you will charge us by promoting war, selling weapons everywhere.

i will't communicate for *all* Europeans, yet i appreciate u . s .. considered one of my impressive pals is American and he or she is between the most outstanding human beings i will probable ever meet. :) i'm French (also slightly Portuguese and British), and far of human beings from different countries - inclusive of alternative countries in Europe - whinge about how impolite we are. i do not imagine it really is authentic, in spite of the actual undeniable reality that I did meet quite some impolite human beings in Paris. :/ besides, I take heed to American singers, i love American nutrition (nicely, this is compared to i bypass to McDonald's 3 circumstances an afternoon so this is high quality, correct?), i appreciate American cities and varieties/products like Apple and stuff. So how might want to I hate u . s .? some Europeans hate the U. S., yet maximum do not. And those who do are hypocrites, because this is authentic that they helped us in both international wars and after all we are all allies, this is compared to North Korea and South Korea or Israel and Palestine. all of us might want to overlook stupid stereotypes and get alongside.

if america were to exist no longer, the world would be thrown into turmoil instantly. the police force of the world would land into the control of god only knows which country and everything that we take for granted now would be at risk. think of all of our freedoms for a second. that is what america holds near and dear to their hearts. personally, i'd rather not think of a world without america because the alternative scares me. i am canadian.

They would be starving. We buy their oil, products and so forth. We send them food, medicine, technology heck we give them jobs that should be done by Americans. We talk about 9/11 we sold the bombs to the Japanese that they dropped on Pearl Harbor. Whats wrong here?
