Can someone help me finding some good encode and decode / encryption and decryption methods for strings in php which doesn't put special characters in the result string when encoded.

Example:
$str = "this is a string";
$something = encode($str);
echo $something;
a82hliha8sdf7p9829189jsjfsdf //no special characters

but i do need the decrypt of decode or decryption function associated to its encrypt function.

I don't need the one way hash functions like md5.

Thankyou.

I am trying to shorten my learning curve as time is not on my side. The sytem in the fax console is working fine. Can some one tell me please. How do I send the cover sheet and attach a word document and send it to the recipient.

Lastly How do I set up the printer to print the the documents and save it in sent faxes. If there is a site that explains it clearly, that would be great for the URL.

I have looked on the Microsoft business centre, it is very heavy going. I am not lazy just not grabing it sorry to say.

Most people would suppose imperfection is the opposite of perfection. On a basic molecular level everything IS perfect. Even on a day to day basis the result of a serious accident could be deemed perfect, because the perfect 'ingredients' are in place to make it a 'perfect accident' Otherwise it would have never happened that way. Even if had happened another way that would be perfect too. Surely evrything IS perfect in this sense.

Some operations cost in excess of £45,000.00 -how is this costed? Is most of it going to the surgeon, or on the equipment? Why can't they be done cheaper?

I am thinking particularly of the guy who is being forced to sell his house for an operation which his PCT will not fund.

I reckon it can't because the optic nerve won't let the eye extend beyond its socket. Also, the eye muscles would need to be cut - meaning that the eye could never work again after removal. (That US basketballer simply lost his eyelid, temporarily, behind his eyeball). My friends disagree.

Some countries are excluded from US green card lottery program. This has been happening since 1998 when the policy changed.They say it is due to high number of immigrants from the country but does it never change. This is the only chance we have to get legally in USA, a dream though it has been for years. When is it likely to change.
