Most people would suppose imperfection is the opposite of perfection. On a basic molecular level everything IS perfect. Even on a day to day basis the result of a serious accident could be deemed perfect, because the perfect 'ingredients' are in place to make it a 'perfect accident' Otherwise it would have never happened that way. Even if had happened another way that would be perfect too. Surely evrything IS perfect in this sense.

No. In fact I would disagree, saying that the word perfect should be struck from the dictionary. Because nothing is perfect and if it were, it would be boring. I love my imperfect life and wouldn't have it any other way. Having it perfect would be to predictable and boring.

But take into account free will. Though God can take all things and make them work together for the good of those that love Him, we have free will. Its because of this free will we have fallen from perfection and have become imperfect. It is because of this imperfection, we need a Saviour. If everything was perfect, there would not be a need for redemption. For what would you be redeemed from if everything was perfect?

an imperfection is a human concept and does not mean the opposite of the emprical concep@t of perfection. No molecule is perfect as it is subject to constant change as is no molecule imperfect. Relative terms to the human experience have little to do with the reality

but then how would you define something which is not as effective as the supreme object? What are we compared to God? If I bake a cake which is perfect, what about the cake that tastes like cow dung? Would that be a perfect cow dung cake or imperfect as a cake because it does not hoild the characteristics of what a cake should; sweet taste, nice colour etc.

No.

I don't mind imperfection.
When people make personal attacks on me, for making a mistake, I reply with "No ones perfect, not even you"
It's the great equalizer, cause it's the one thing we all have in common.
