Imagine you're an artist and you've done your best work. What would you do after? You still have all that creativity but you can't touch the place you've already created. What is your duty now?

What a pity Leonardo is not here to answer your question or Turner, or Picasso. Or even a young child who has his/ her own masterpiece hanging up on the classroom wall.

They would all probably reply they had not yet attained that masterpiece and felt it was their duty to go on until they had.

Artists always strive for perfection within their paintings and are rarely satisfied with the end result. Apart from Rolf Harris that is.
I thought his interpretation of our Queen was just great.

A masterpiece is a thing, right? Sometimes people get so caught up in making their life "count" that they forget about the important relationships in their life. Why not take time to work on those relationships. Those are ultimately more important than accomplishments.

Have you made a baby? Have you instilled your skills into others? Your life itself should be a masterpiece. You were created by a Master. Have you talked to Him about it? He wants a relationship with you. He might find you other masterpieces to work towards.

I think if you have created the masterpiece of your life, there is nothing else to be done and you should therefore lock yourself in a room and let yourself pass away quietly.
Please tell me that you have completed the masterpiece of YOUR life.

Then you go on to create a second masterpiece, even in a different genre. That's why the great artists are great: they are not one-trick ponies, but fountains of talent. Who's to say that we are capable of achieving only one great thing in our lives? Success is ongoing.

enjoy his remaining life? I mean when an artist have finished his masterpiece he should be very famous, and start become a rich and famous celebrity. All he have to do is forget his creativity and enjoy all of his rich and fame.

I thought that the really goods artists were never satisfied with their work, so how could they think that they had done their masterpiece?

I can't believe as an artist you are completely satisfied with a piece of work...perhaps you're afraid that you can't do any better?You should continue making work
