There is this woman-not a friend really-more of an acquaintance (a friend of a friend's sister) who lets her husband beat her till she's bloody, black, and blue. Everyone feels sorry for her but I can't stand her because she stays in such crap. Why?

Here is the deal. I work as a librian at a major university. Im 35. There are about 3 girls that individually stop me and talk to me. Each smile all the time. I thought I was seeing things, but it happens several times a week. They are very friendly and touchy feely. They smile A LOT all the time at me and whenever they see me they run over and have a conversation. I smile and stuff too mostly cause I'm nervous Are these girls hittin on me? It seems like they are flirting in a way. What can all this mean?but whats going on? I'm also engaged. Ouch!!!

WAS the 9-11 attacks preventable had we only done the rational thing at the time and are we ingnoring possible solutions today that may prevent future attacks on america .Do we have locking caps on all our gas station storage tanks or can some one simply drive up and open one and insert a timed device .
THIS is one of many areas america should be looking at and we seem to neglect the simple messures until it is to late .
HAD we secured the cockpits of all american airlines in the 80's 9-11 would never of happened .IT was prudent then as it is now to secure our gas staions and other possible targets .

my mom and dad are arguing. Normally, they argue and they are okay. But this time, they don't want to sleep in the same room. Neither one wants to give in. my dad has'nt ate for one day. they didn't talk at all today. Had some issues with my bike and wondered if someone could be tampering with it. In the last year I have come back to find the gear lever squashed under the main engine, the petrol tank popped out of it's fixture and leaning to the left, and now apparently the park plug cover has also been removed to stop it working. Am I being paranoid or is this something easy to do. Or could it be something that happens naturally?

someone who does, but has committed horrific acts of savagery here on earth?

A sales rep comes in and a order was placed with him, after he left, we found that we had 50 pair of Rayban sunglass and did not need the order just placed. The rep. wrote up the order and we did not sighn for it. Later after makeing the discovery we called the rep and asked to cancel the order. They were sent anyway. According to the customer service rep. that answered the phone, we had 90 days to send the order back, we did right away. It in turn has been sent back to us, we did not ask for it. Now somewhere I beleive there is a Federal fair trade commission act that states if you did not order the product, {wich remember we had sent it back in time} then you are not obligated to pay for the product. Is anyone aware of such a ruling? Do I have to send them back? Do I have to keep them and pay for them?

had protected sex (condom) on August 1st. Normally my cycles are anywhere from 27-29 days long so I'm pretty regular. The first day of my last period was July 27th and it ended around August 1st. Nothing happened to make me think the condom broke or anything. However, I had many symptoms of pregnancy for a few weeks after. I got what seemed to be my normal period on September 20th, a few days earlier than normal. It wasn't light, or "spotting-like" or anything and I had pretty bad period cramps with it, like always. It lasted 6 days. I had taken 3 pregnancy tests before that and one on the day I started bleeding, all negative. However, even after my "period" was over, I kept having pain in my abdomen and I feel like my stomach is bloated and pushed out. Since then, I've taken 7 more pregnancy tests, all negative, most done with first morning urine. The most recent one was done September 7th. Could I be pregnant with 12 HPT's being negative and one done over a month after having sex?
