Over the last few years there has been a noticable resurgence of Zombie films, especially those produces by the big companies (Dawn of the dead remake, Land of the dead, even Shaun of the Dead) and several more are being produced as we speak.

It got me to thinking to why Zombies are making a comeback now? This is what I think, please let me know if you have any opinions?

The last time that Zombie films were popular was from the late 60's to the early 80's, a time when the western world was terrified of Communism. America in particular was seemingly obsessed with the idea of communist infiltrators within American society "reds under the beds".

Now we live in a time of international terrorism, when people living in our communities; neighbours, friends, work collegues etc could, in the minds of many Americans, be sleeping terrorists waiting their oppertunity to kill and maim.

Both of these fears seem to be the essence of Zombie films, fear of a close unseen enemy.

Hey people! I'm fixing up some breakfast (in my part of the world) and I need some advice from you guys.

In my kitchen, I have, hmmmmm, let's see...a side order of ham, maple syrup, a tangerine, marmalade - whoops, sorry, that's actually jam, and...yeah, some coffee.

I know two more items will make this a complete meal.

What are they?

PS: This is a MUSICAL QUESTION. You will not be able to answer correctly without grasping a song title.

I will feel really awkward there on my own as I am now single, and the other people I might have "Taken" with me are unavailable. Do you think I am right to worry about going. I only vaguely know a few other people and they will be there with their other halfs. Do you think she will be offended if I send her a card and some money in the post and don't go. If i post today it should arrive by tomorrow.

When a limb is amputated the brain still has an image of the whole, and causes problems with phantom limb syndrome, even destroying the nerves prior to amputation doesnt completely rid the phenomena. What therefore, apart from physical rejection, would heart transplant patients experience having someone else's 'blueprint' in their body, would it continue to be different or would it become you in the spiritual sense? (Not sure if this question belongs in the humanities or science)
